everyone is talking about trading John Cominsky, I could see Houston maybe being a dark horse for being traded. If Davenport, Cominsky, Paschal, Betts, Wingo show any promise I think you have to take calls. He showed he can be great at the one thing he does, but if they can get pressure out of the other guys then he quickly becomes expandable, and not very versatile. But he could fetch decent capital in a trade based on his rookie season. Obviously, if those other guys continue to be lackluster in terms of rushing the QB, Houston is key as a specialist. But Campbell and Holmes love versatility, and Houston is sort of limited in that aspect.

I keep flipping through the paperwork. I'm, in general, skeptical. I keep looking at the team and I think, for God's sake, Brad Holmes has built a JUGGERNAUT. I don't think our schedule matters. Half the teams we play will get rolled by 15+ points. I keep looking at our lineups... doing the calculus... that's the way it looks to me. I'm betting heavy on the Lions for the first 3 or 4 games... until Vegas catches up.

He's a good player...problem occurs when he's injured but still talking. In a way appreciate that continuous involvement- just a little bit less smack when you aint part of the attack!! Its as if he was talking big, but standing behind big brother. Detroit is GRITTY by NATURE- so that meshed. The whole "backing up your talk" wasn't an option. However, the SWAG that it brought helped MENTALLY crest a hump. Arguably moreso for fans than anybody...and THATS HUGE!! DETROIT wants a WINNER in football MORE THAN ANYONE WORLDWIDE I WOULD ARGUE!! Their noise and support have risen Goff from potential desparem..CJG helped erase a stigma and further strengthened the Tides off support to levels we've never seen before!! So while it was an optimal, he was a soldier to the cause and served his role. Much rather have him involved, over - flaming out and being pouty on the bench....INSTEAD, He personified THE CITY...and I can't hate him for that. Time now to move above and beyond with the new revamped Secondary. No hatred just optimism for the future!!

And the schedule got much harder. Their easy games are Tennessee and Arizona. Tell me, without bias, which one of these teams can’t legit beat Detroit on any given Sunday…….. Rams, Bills, Niners, Cowboys, Pack, Seahawks, Bucs, Colts, Jags, Texans Now add in 2 vs the Bears and even 1 vs the Vikings. Use sound logic and reasoning. Not just “they just aren’t as good”. The dumbest thing fans do is assume everybody got worse and only the Lions got better. This season is going to be ridiculously difficult. It’s time to face that fact too.

i dont see any teams getting over 39 points on the Lions this year, so that chops a lot of losses right off the top. Bringing our secondary from league worst to top 5 in the NFL is a huge swing. You are underestimating how powerful that is.

You people are all delusional! If one starting offensive lineman goes down, JG will be exposed! The rest of the team is great. You guys have crowned a QB that had one of the best offenses in the league, but passed for 25/41, 273yds, only ONE touchdown in garbage time, in the NFC championship game! The Lions are built to win now the only weak spot is at the QB position. That’s why he’s a Lion and not a Ram!

@@michaelgarrett139 Every game we lost in the regular season, was due to bad quarterback play or the offensive line not giving JG all day to scan the field. The lost to Seattle where JG played a good game but threw a pick 6 That allowed Seattle to stay in a game. We lost in overtime. The Baltimore loss, JG 33/53, 1 int, offensive line and JG played horrible, Chicago loss, completely JG‘s fault 20/35, a measly 161 yds, 2 int. The lost to Green Bay, JG had a decent game, but was simply outplayed by a first year starter. The Dallas loss JG was a miserable, 19/34, 2 int. Everything I typed is factual and cannot be disputed. I think I know a little bit of football.
