While I don't have anything against most of the talents in Nijisanji it is unfortunate that the only way we have to hold the company accountable is to not watch them. They need to see real financial consequences for their disturbing treatment of those talents in hopes some drastic changes can occur, it is the only form of pressure they respond to. That being said it's your channel so do what you feel is right for you, I just don't think they meet the ethical standard for content I want to support as long as current leadership remains in place.

Fortunately this sort of action against Kurosanji would hopefully (and ideally) have the potential response from talents whose eyes have been rose-tinted or blinded by the company for unknown amounts of time, finally waking up to the reality that staying with such a company is NOT a viable and morally sound way of making a living in this industry anymore, and would like several others, leave and go indie.

It is a disappointment that this is our only means to have them see repercussions for their treatment of the talents. Sadly after so many bad choices that affect the talents and the price gouging that hurts the fans, except for the most loyal of them who can afford it, I could only see that any advertisement is rewarding bad behavior. I'll remain at the fact that it's sad that former talents have gone on record to say there is no chance for growth with the company and can't reward that kind of behavior from a corporate entity. But that's my choice. I won't stop anyone myself and it is, as Toastybees said, your decision.

It's a common lesson where I'm from. It's disrespectful to ignore food prepared for you so either eat it or save the food for later, then you can do whatever. It also helps to also remind yourself to not skip meals when you're too busy doing something else and to label your own food when living with other people.

Okay Pineapple.... I personally want nothing to do with Niji. This goes beyknd the original blow up from the beginning of the year. While we could go over all the details from that situation there is a more important point: the company has done nothing to either (a) make amends to the former employees they have caused grief and damage, (b) they have actively reinforced the policies that have been problematic (like trying to keep Doki and Vivi seperated during the fighting game tournament), (c) they have done more things to damage their relationship with the community -- like cancelling a concert at the last minute, (d) it has come out from several former Niji livers how the company basically screwed them and didn't provide adequate support. And, the thing is, now 8-9 months later AnyColor hasn't done anything to outwardly either (a) improve things for their livers, or (b) anything toshow the community that they are making any changes. To me it seems like Rika tried to blow a lot of smoke up everyone's a**, and now it's just business as usual.

Pineapple. Also, besides Niji there are so many independent and other corpo vtubers that it's impossible to watch everyone, you'd never run out of content. Of course, you do you. For me, I feel deeply uncomfortable supporting a company whose official response was organizing a beat down stream against someone with two recent attempts on her life. Knowingly, because they had the documents from her lawyer, which they thoroughly reviewed, their words. They crossed a moral event horizon. I don't hold any grudges against the talents that escape the company, I wish Matara, Michi, Kuro, 10jin, and others the best, but anything current related to the corp, I want nothing to do with it. I will not be connected to an attempt to weaponize a fan base to actually get someone to die. That makes me feel sick to my stomach.

to be honest, in regards to nijisanji, if you like the content, yeah go for it, do what you enjoy. so many of the things we enjoy have very dark things actively associated with their creation or ongoing existence, whether it be phones, entertainment, or hell, even food, that we ignore everyday because we like consuming it. you have to separate the entertainment from the shitty background and just enjoy it for what it is, just like all the other products we consume every day.

personally i still steer clear of nijisanji. As long as they keep treating talents like dirt you throw on the wall to see what sticks. ill never support them, because the talents arent dirt and deserve better. And sadly not all the blame can be put on the company, the majority of the talents that are left in the EN branch is either the cause, or they benefit from the bad stuff that was happening. and i cant support that. But this is a vibe check that i got from them even before everything blew up.. except from Scarle, every single NijiEN talent i watched and liked, have now graduated, and everyone who is left is ppl that i didnt vibe well with and steered clear of.. at the time, i thought it was just not my kinda comedy and personality.. but it seems i was on to something without even knowing it..

It's absolutely alright to react to Nijisanji clips. It's not like this is suddenly giving the company a spike in popularity. In fact, just reacting to clips isn't going to affect their numbers at all. And as you said, it's about the talents, not the company itself (that can't profit from clip reactions in the first place). Most people complaining have a knee-jerk response to anything Nijisanji and are driven more by hate than common sense (as typical with internet outrage). You shouldn't pay them any mind and discern people with actual criticism from them.

Personally speaking, I will still continue to skip over any sections of video where their clips are involved (same as what I do for VShojo clips), but at the end of the day I'm just one viewer. You go with what you feel is right, us viewers will react in kind.

On the subject of Niji. The talents are not the problem. The leadership of the company is. Since terminating Selen they have done nothing to change the behavior of the company in regards to the talents that made it happen in the first place. I don't know if any of the rrats are true, all I can count on is the testimony of former talents to tell their stories in whatever ways their NDAs allow them to. Every single one has shown the disregard if not outright hostility that the company has for anyone of its employees or contractors who make reasonable requests/assumptions, and make examples out of anyone who steps a single toe out of line with management. All that said, you can showcase the Niji talents on your channel harassment free from me, and I would still watch and enjoy the content. Most of them are great entertainers and deserve an audience. I want the harassment by the company to stop. I want them to do right by their talents, end all the toxic bs that is happening there and actually do a good job of managing. The company needs to be forthright and honest with its customers, talents and investors about what went wrong with their culture at the company, as well as what steps they are doing to redress it. There needs to be accountability for any officer of the company that contributed to the harassment. This means termination, forfeiture of assets and severance packages they would have received as a contract employee, or government mandated fines or jail sentences, whatever is most appropriate to redress the wrong. Secondly they need to allow the talents to renegotiate their contracts with a court appointed overseer to make sure there is no further fuckery. I think once that is done, Niji can actually start to repair their reputation and earn the trust of their customers and viewers. All corps can benefit from having competent competition, as it forces all of them to raise the bar. Right now all any other vtuber corpo has to do is be better than the reputation that Niji has rightly earned. This is not a good thing. Edit: Pineapple.

The high rate of turn over must have reasons and i LOATHE (not dislike or hate, more) The management + the whole upper management for how they treated their EN talent. Most of the talents are blameless and i love their streams, so much that i hope they quit ASAP and back to their past avatar or reborn again. Up to you tho if you wanna react, but at the same time giving view is also a signal for them that translate "Oh it's working, let's change nothing!".

Real talk? I've never been comfortable with how the Niji boycott has affected the talents. Do I like how the company is effectively a talent mill where talents will sink or have to learn to swim on their own? Goodness no. Do I like that there's effectively a manager gacha where you might get a manager that cares, or you might get one that's hot garbage? Not at all. However do I like that the talents are struggling financially, mentally, and emotionally because of the boycott? No. I like it even less that the boycott is disproportionately affecting those that are likely to have had nothing to do with any alleged wrong doing. Watch what you're comfortable with my dude.

I don't think watching Nijisanji sends a good message until they address their behaviour and leadership. Going back to supporting Nijisanji without the necessary changes sends the message that they just need to ride out the negativity, rather than fix the problems. It sucks because there are still talents in Niji that I want to support. That said, it's your channel. I will be disappointed but I'm not going to attack or send hate if you return to reacting to Nijisanji. I have issues with 1 of the talents you react to now (in this video even) but this is the first and hopefully only time I'll mention it.

Talking about, reacting to and generaly keeping the talents relevant is much more important to the talents themselves, while sales of merch and event tickets are much more relevant to the company. Donations and subscriptions fall in between. So avoiding the talents hurt much more the talents than the company, therefore we should definitively keep suporting them by keeping them in the comunity's content, if we want to (keep) punishing the company for their treatment of the talents, the way to go is to not buy stuff from them. Cutting on donations and subscriptions however harm both, so there's a moral and practical debate there

It's fruitless to hate someone for reacting to Niji clips and people are in the wrong to attack them. Some clippers who used to make niji clips jumped ship because of the events of Q4 2024 out of respect for the affected parties even for others before 2024 as well as some companies that used to support Niji. This is Evan's decision, however. Attacking does not equate to educating. Do whatever you want however you wish, Evan.
