RLCraft 2.9 Book Wyrm Guide 📚

Some additional advice from my experience getting lvl 30 golden dudes I stole 2 book wyrms and brought them to my home and put them in a huge pen. I bred them til there were about 100. To save on foul candy, you can simply use AEO Love arrows. They are super cheap, only requiring carrots, wheat, seeds, glass, and arrows to make. They work with multishot and breed EVERY animal in the game so you don't have to waste breeding materials on them. Anyways, I spammed my multishot love arrow bow and then with the next generation I lured them with foul candy under SLABS which the adults cannot fit through. Now I have all the better genetics babies and I can... genocide all the adults. Breed the new babies until you have a bunch and repeat. Eventually you'll have a ton of high level purple dudes and now you just have to mass breed them until you get the lvl 30 golden one. My best golden book wyrm was Lvl 30 with a digestion time of TWO. As for the enchants they gave you, they were good, but rarely any end game enchants. If you want Adv mending, inner berzerk, strengthened vitality, or adv protection, you're better off trading with villagers. However, EVERY other enchantment they would drop. Feed them all your extra garbage eBooks from your adventures and they'll sit there and digest 1500+ levels and poop out books every 5 seconds. Also also you get a TON of XP with an education 3 sword as an added bonus as well as meat for dragon meals or for your own food.

@@trousersnake81 I recall some adv sharpness and some adv power, but often times I think they were always level 1 if I even actually got them. I would rely on villagers for those too.

Nice job, I probably have like 300h in rlcraft 2.8 and i had no idea how the diggesting time worked. Also try not to spam breed, the small ones also eat your candy if you click on them and that doesnt do anything so you re losing lots of candy if you dont realise this is happening.

The easiest way to breed bookwyrms is with a multishot bow with AOE love arrows, they are way easier to craft than foul candy

Don't spam breed, breed the highest with the highest and kill the runts. Try to one-shot the runts or you'll aggro the others, which you can shake off if you leave the area and unload the chunk.

So… they can only do up to level 30 which I think includes some of the lower advanced enchants. Be nice if there was a list of enchants they can’t do even with the golden ones so you can look out for them. I suppose it’s just supreme anything and the level four or five advanced ones… probably. Maybe.

I have a gold lvl 30, digestion time 1. I've fed it hundreds of tomes and only gotten 1 mending. Is it better to give it a book with a single spell on it, or with multiple spells? I feed it spells i disenchanted from drops and that I used the enchanting table lvl 30.

@@coffe_tveft4875 get yourself a rune reader, then an advanced rune reader by using battletower loot as the top 2 floors got ya covered mostly, then you get a rune, insert it and know what materals in which crafting table slot you need to make em... collect em and add them like the rune said n u get your item.... so if you take a picture of one of every recipe , you're covered for ALL the time and all the items... i do keep getting new runes because some i am still missing but once you got the rune you don't need it no more as they only show the recipe and u gotta gather the recipe before using or getting the tools from the rune

Here I am thinking wow it's gonna be so hard getting the foul slime. Totally forgot my reaver has looting 4. Totally forgot that those dudes spawn slimes every time you hit them. So, theoretically, it would be a good idea to hit the zombie with your fist and kill the slimes with your weapon. I got plenty of foul slime. We're in business 😎 But now i actually have to get the crocs into the enclosure 😔 I really hope leads work on them because the candy is about as inconsistent with luring as when luring other animals lol.

Doomlike dungeons under mountain, forest or cold biomes.

You can make your own spawning area in a mountain or forest as well. Underground, large flat area, four blocks of head space, dark. Boomerang to the head is a good way to take them out. You can make a little walkway above your spawn area if you really want to flex. Beware of grue and other dark spawning critters though.

Nah it needs to consume it's full quota of levels to poop. If you feed it a 'level 6' book it'll just sit there with '6 digested levels' until you feed it more.

Well you need the gold scales for the disenchantment table anyway. The earlier you do this the more valuable it will be.

Just get infinity from a villager would probably be best. I don't really rely on the Book Wyrms ever.

Not sure about Supreme but they can definitely drop Advanced Protection. So maybe Supremes too.

Well, Lycanite tools, Dragon pone pickaxe and diamond mattock are my tools and I don't think they'll get much better. Weapons are totally circumstantial and pretty balanced. I'm in the process of making an insane Pike due to the Reach II. No idea if it's 'better' than other weapons for lost cities though.

The parasite part weapons probably. Not sure they are worth the effort though. A switch bow and dragon bone sword type you prefer are probably as good as you need even for end games.

@@scottchristofersen2367 i just found an underground green lycanite dungeon (the very top room has got these swamp biome mega mushrooms and inside was a chest with 17 rabit feet or so... so if you ever see such a place just take a look in the big mushroom treehouse thing and see if it has useful loot.... what do you need them for ? they seem to only be material for jump potions(?9 or the ring
