Someone asked about the iguana habitat....

The family green iguana, we have had her for at least 18 years if not longer. You can no longer purchase these animals in the state of Florida as pets, they have become an extremely invasive species in South Florida and are very destructive to the environment unfortunately.

My wife and I back in the 80's stayed at my brother in laws house for 3 weeks while we were between an apt. And the house we bought. It was my nephews room in the basement and he had moved in with a buddy. He had 2 Iguanas, but they were smaller. Well one had disapeared in the move, and he couldn't figure where it went. It was winter in NY, so he didn't live if he got outside. We had put his console tv up on our wooden coffee table so we could lay in bed and watch tv easier. Well when we took the tv off the table to move our furniture to our home, we found the Iguana living inside the tv! He was warm, but hadn't eatten as far as we know in 3 weeks. My brother in law figured he ate spiders and maybe mice? But he seemed alright after he was reunited with his room mate.

They get a whole lot bigger out in the wild! She's healthy and well taken care of, she will probably outlive my wife and I!!! LOL!
