Tim, you had mentioned you were heavily into skateboarding and I can't help but wonder if you were into hard-core and punk music at that time?
@Ratdaddy202315 сағат бұрын
I listened to a lot of Punk and Heavy Metal back then. Ted Nugent, Kiss, Billy Idol, pretty much all the bands of that day.... I still listen to mostly Metal these days. Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold..... Although I don't listen to as much music as I used to.....

Doing the same kit but utilized the big trailer that came with it to display finished cars on...so far so good when I join your post club ill send u photos...had to chop the back frame today to allow for the butchered trailer hitch (by me on accident but made a new one )at truck frame to work with the custom body colored bumper in custom option

greetings tim, i dunno if my channel has been suggested to you by YT, but i would love to focus more on mainly show rod stuff, ive been subbed to you for quite some time and watched many of your videos, always great stuff with more personal history connecting you to it than i could ever dream to have, im too young to have been around when the guys were building and touring these amazing rods, let alone i was never in the areas where these were accustom to being seen at, but i did grow up building models of them starting with bad medicine which is what drew me into C-Cab designs, clearly that makes tom more my idol than any of the others like barris and cushman and starlburg and casper and more. just a few days ago i had rebuilt an old Stink Ray corvette and it got me thinking of your cool white/green vette, and my super cool va va vette. most people i speak with about models or even just show rod stuff are soo unaware of how deep the rabbit hole is, so i feel a bit alone with no real show rod person to chat with. so i thought i would reach out to you, i was gonna send an email, but you dont have one on yt, and i did go to your ratdaddy studios page, but figured this would suffice. if you can find the time to chat, get a hold of me either via reply or my email on my yt page, i would love to banter with you about some cool kits and historical stuff that i find my own passion to be "Preserving the history of show rods" anyways, much respect man and i hope to hear back from ya.
@Ratdaddy20233 күн бұрын
Hey good morning! You can e-mail any time at [email protected] Yes I still have a huge passion for those old show rods and love talking about them! I've had so many folks ask me to do more model history, so keep watching!

That Mad mag cover is classic, is there a kit similiar to that? Those MPC kits always seem to have a lot of flash but you've got it looking good.
@Ratdaddy20234 күн бұрын
There is a kit of Alfred E. Neuman, released in the mid 60's by Aurora and then it was re-issued maybe 15-20 years ago by Revell. It's a fun kit, comes with multiple arms you can interchange for different funny things!

While I have not been been a KZbin modeller for that long, I can't image a time where there weren't that many model videos since I can't keep up with the current steady stream of great model content that I can only try my best to ingest in a timely manner (you're channel included of course). My model skills, techniques and the plethora of products that I use would be nowhere what they are without all the entertaining and instructional video content. While I did frequent a number of non-video model sites to try to learn things, it just wasn't the same.

The Vette looks like a blank canvas now, that large engine looks cool. Curious to see what you do with the 53 pickup and trailer. Any chance we could see some of your hand painting on the figure? The camera seems to be more stable now.
