I actually had someone break into my house before. I woke up in the middle of the night due to pain (I had recently had surgery, so this would happen almost every night). I slowly rolled myself over while keeping my eyes shut and as I did I heard someone do a sharp inhale and some shuffling around. I shared a room with my sister at the time so I thought she had gotten up to use the bathroom or something. I blinked open my eyes and my vision was kinda blurry due to just waking up and sleepiness. Our room was pretty dark. I could see a figure close to my bed. It was tall and looked masculine and definitely NOT my sister. For some reason it didn’t hit me right away that there was a complete stranger in my room pretty much standing over me. I just kinda stared at them and they stared back. Then they walked over to my window (which was open, they had broken in through it) and just climbed out. That was when it hit me and I ran to call the police and wake up my family. They didn’t find the guy.
