hehe my adhd fucking over analyzed this so here is my theory! THERE IS SO MUCH SO BE WARNED You play Jon and a Child! Jon is a man who worshippers the god Bastet! Why this random god? Because they are a egyptian god of cats, the relic is a cat relic from a egyptian based area in a museum that seems to replicate the real relic of Bastet! Bastet is the daughter of the sun god (Ra) and the eye of the sun which the sigils seem to imply sometimes along with the fire, bright sky/sun elements, and garfield being a orange cat which guess what is more special as the orange hue symbolized said sun god! She can speak to people in there dreams so I guess the creator added on from that with his own idea, as Bastet is both good to women and children but ferocious and dangerous to all! Using Jon she did whatever she wanted as the God known for protection of disease & evil spirits in HOMES along with other things, of course Odie is there but im not going to go deep into him there as he barely appears with this game being more around a kid and cats, Jon being the bad guy as Bastet tries to help the child with Jon basically keep the kid from leaving! Addition to this for the tower part- it is said Bastet would ride the sky with her father (Ra) during the day and protect him a night from the serpent Apep a demon of chaos the foe of Ra basically an enemy of Ra! The dark creepy house might be the representation of chaos and the dangers of Bastet because not only she may be protecting a child while angered which is an anger that is represented like that of a dangerous desert so a child be hurt by her, but she is also trying to rid of Jon through the child because she cannot care of the child who grabbed the relic with Jon there due to the fact the child is weak plus Jon hasnt touched the relic after the kid so he cannot hear or be controlled! now this may not make much sense bc im researching and typing this out to fact check my head. SUMMARY (somewhat main points): The relic is the cat god Bastet, daughter of the sun god Ra and Eye of the sun which relates to the sigils, fires, sky, etc! Jon is a mental manipulator trying to use Bastet for whatever, trying to talk and use said sigils! Bastet shuts him up trying to save the child caught in a home in the middle of no where. Bastet is warming but also dangerous like a desert so the child is not truly safe with either, Jon puts the kid to sleep as Bastet can only do things in dreams or lucid dreams basically each time garfield shows up is Bastet leading the child in a happy environment though the bad events are moments where in the real world is probably when she gets so angry that said anger shows. Bastet is known to be kind/protectors to kids so yk Jon using a kid to control Bastet is probably yk evil. This is all I can think bc i typed so much i am just DYING mentally uhm read it all for more detail since my ADHD def fucking made this shit CONFUSING!!! or read/skim info about Bastet and this might make sense (Odie is not rlly brought up bc he barely shows in the game so bleh)
