My bet is this Karen is one of those people who pretends to care and pretends they "did it out of concern for you" but really just wants to go on a power trip and get in other people's business. They could have only screwed things up for him and his parent's business more than it could have ever "helped." For me getting paid by parents is the most embarrassing thing Cz they are literally ur parents u can ask money from then whenever u want (untill u r 25 or so cz its really weird thing to do as an adult) But since he started working in subway in 16 i mean its like helping parents in business People here give their salary to their parents after getting it to use it for running the house So ur parents gives u money then u give it back to them to feed them and urself and to buy some ur fav stuffs lol

He's not really saving his parents money. It's not like the money to pay employees comes directly out of his parents bank account. It comes out of the businesses profits. Paying him what, 13 bucks an hour? Most likely wouldn't make a much of a difference in the business. He probably just has rich parents that buy him everything he needs like a car, housing, food, ect and he just works at subway to "even" out things. Even though normally he wouldn't be able to afford that on a subway salary.
