It’s hard when you grow up in a religious setting rather than seeing people who have relationships with God and want to know Him more. And then when you go through those hard times and have only a surface belief it makes you question everything- and that’s okay. It doesn’t change who God is. He wants you to ask Him questions and talk to him, he will show you who He is.

Great discussion! Questioning faith is something many of us do and there should be no shame in doing so. IF there is a creator, why would he/she run from questions? Would a loving parent tell their child, "never ask me any questions...just obey!?

Honestly Abby I get where you're coming from, I lost my dad in a horrible and tragic way 3 years ago and it took so much to come back from that whole questioning period but God pulled me back in a big way and I hope he'll do the same for you. Sending you lots of big hugs to help you through ❤

It’s okay to have doubts and it’s ok to ask God for clarity and understanding. It’s okay to ask questions, God WANTS you to ask questions, God wants you to explore and come to a deeper understanding of Him. In these moments when you’re unsure if He even exists, it is OKAY to still pray and ask for strength and ask for guidance. These hard moments are the times when you need him the most.
