Yeah, I don't do hints- I've told her a few times. She kind of brushed me off on Saturday, so I ordered her flowers. But it's ok, it *will* be a big change and there's no call to rush it- I've dated a lot and have been married twice, I'm a lot more experienced and know not only what I want, but I'm not so bad at reading body language, and I know she feels the same about me. I'm willing to wait. And of course she's smart... I wouldn't be wasting my time if she wasn't.

That makes sense, but no. I know exactly what that's about- I'm older, and I was married to her mother. It's not easy to explain- she summoned me before she was even born, and marrying her mom was the only way to stay around and protect her. I can see where she might feel like I was just using her as a substitute for her mom when she died, but the reality is that her mom was a substitute for her- she was a good woman, but we made no sense together... she treated me more like a son who paid all the bills than as a husband. And it's the opposite here- we've never been physically intimate past G-rated back and shoulder rubs and hugs. It's unconventional, and I know people will be all pissed off about it, but I don't care- as far as I can tell, most of 'em never liked me anyhow.
