Our connection started as a situationship and I think both of us didn't plan to connect on a longer term, at least, he didn't. I felt that he played games. At one point, he walked away. I sensed he moved on to someone else. I felt he didn't treat me with respect. Also, there were times I had suspected that he was in a committed relationship while connecting with me. We did have a lot of communication issues. But, he returned in a different way. He doesn't pick fights with me anymore. And appears more patient. He's not the guy to pour out his heart, I'm learning. We're friends and now roommates. When he moved in with me six months ago things were taking off really quick and we were both happy. Then he told his therapist. Yesterday he told me he doesn't see me as a possibilty because his therapist told him I'm not the one because he notices other women. We were in a situationship. Then that ended and we went back to friends. His therapist told him he should hurt me so I would not have feelings for him anymore and that my love is not good. We've been friends for 20+ years. She became his friend and crossed lines a therapist isn't supposed to. She told him to sleep with strangers and have casual relations to break what we had going. She convinced him I'm disrespectful by accepting his advances. So he stopped altogether. I told him that is bad advice and her theory of having eyes for only one person is from the onset sounds obsessive. He had so many women asking him for a relationship he realized that when he came home he didn't want to see the same in my eyes. Publicly he calls me his partner to strangers in front of me. His therapist spent time with both of us and she calls us a couple when I'm around, but to him says there's something wrong with me. I feel his feelings for me when he holds me. He stopped kissing me. He asked me not to make advances and I don't. They hang out and talk about me and she told him if I do anything like look at him affectionately it's a sign of disrespect. He finally told me all this yesterday. His exes came around and others he told them all no. With me, he says there's no guarantee and bc we're roommates we cannot date or anything, but my intuition says a lot. I feel his therapist has a crush on him. There's a lot of projection going on. She said I need to let him go, but she was talking about herself and told him to block my feelings and not allow his to grow when he was telling me he wants to marry me. He's super sweet and after all these things, he tells me he doesn't want anything. I have let him go and since he spends more time with her specifically on his day off which used to be us spending time hanging out. I hope he moves things forward and the truth is revealed fully so he can do what he wants and feels whether it's with me or not. I got asked out and he heard about it and told me not to go. He asked me to wait for him to come towards me many times. We'll see. I got other things to do anyway.

And definitely financially complementary- I'm a bit irresponsible with cashflow because I have the Midas touch, but she's a natural when it comes to budgeting.
