You could have a text parser in a PSX game, it's not impossible. Not likely that someone would take the time to do it, but not technically impossible. This only appears to be a text parser if that. Honestly I think you could just say it's programmed to give responses to specific answers.

I'm really happy that Muta did a video on this series, though I think the analysis was a bit short. Granted, I'm sure he doesn't want to dig very deep fro these Haunted Gaming segments. I still enjoyed the video, though. For anyone looking for more analysis videos of Petscop, there's a channel called "Nightmare Masterclass" that has a 3 part series on it. I thought it was very well-thought out and interesting. Not trying to downplay Muta, of course.

You can't really compare Muts video to pyros because Mut gives a short overview so people who don't know this get an idea of what is going on. Pyro went more in depth, was more theoretical and covered it in more detail. But if there is one thing we can agree on then that both videos are superior to The Shame Theorists video

The face puzzle works like this (from what I gathered from the videos): Paul finds several facial expressions on the walls throughout the game, like the eyes on Michael's grave and then enters them into the puzzle and it takes him to a different room.

It's funny how someone can go into detail about how they could remember what things looked like when they were inside their mother's birth canals. I feel that when I was "in utero", I would sometimes see flashing lights go on and off in complete darkness, which had played with the coordination of my senses due to it's deep effects such as low-audio tones and stretched space. So much, that after I was born, I had felt one of those deep effects reoccur to watching (of all things) something as remote and simple like the logo introduction for HBO. This could be from the fact my mother watched HBO a lot while she was pregnant in the mid-90's.

Game Theory did a video on this that was very well done as well that I recommended everyone here to check out if you haven't already. There were two nurses that were helping with the rebirthing process that killed Candice. These nurses were arrested and sentenced to 16 years in prison. However, I believe that both of them were let out early on parole. The video in which the door that lead into the Newmaker plane opened (the second Petscop video) was released on the exact same date that the two nurses should have been released from prison if they hadn't got parole.

But if the Newmaker theory is still on the table, notice that the character sprite that paul is playing looks like it has the expression of someone who threw up and they have no arms. The newmaker incident is brought up that during the rebirthing, the person who was being rebirthed said "Do I come out where my fingers are?"

I think the face puzzle was about making faces of different children and all the room variations were different kids rooms. That's why it seemed so easy to solve but He was just going to random kids rooms. shortly before he does it for the first time it shows her face but he never really figures that out and just keeps trying it until he gets it right.

The face thing wasn't actually a puzzle, it was more like a password where different combinations of faces generate different rooms. The faces on the tombstone and the house were the combinations for Care's room and Michael's room

I just want to say i dont think the face puzzle is a puzzle. Im pretty sure the different faces just give you different rooms. You can see how Paul even goes back to Mike's grave and inputs the face on it to get into Mike's room. Also i just found it strange that you mentioned Paul finding NLM in one of the rooms without saying how she got in there. We see Paul drop her off in the child library so thats why she ends up in her room.

You keep using the 'face' puzzle as an example of Paul immediately figuring out a puzzle, but he clearly doesn't know what the hell to do with it. He tries several random combinations to see what they do despite it taking roughly ten minutes to input a single attempt. When he does figure it out all he does is input the faces he's seen around the game. Hardly a difficult puzzle, just an obtuse password system.
