It was fascinating to see some of these historic machines in action. Jack loved seeing the old tractors and train and other equipment. I loved seeing the old buildings, houses and blacksmith shop. Heritage Days events like this are always such a cool look at the past of rural life. Thanks for taking us along!

I always like to see the old machines working. At the same time, I believe some examples should stay in pristine, like-new condition,. The self-propelled trolley tram was interesting, but I don't think I would want to drive it; talk about a blind spot. The funny little four-wheeled flatbed machine you saw was an M274 Mule, manufactured by the Willys motor company from 1956-1970. The articulated 6x6 machine is a Gama Goat, manufactured by various companies for the U.S. military from the 1970s to the 1990s (per wiki).

Sir, I just found your channel and it is AWESOME. I live in O’Fallon IL and most of the shows would be great to see. The best one is this one because it is only an hour away in Greenville. What day was this shot on? So when will it be next year? so I can put it on my calendar??? The military stuff will be cool too for me since I am a retired military personnel. That 6 wheeled military vehicle you wanted to know about is called (6x6 M561 or Gama-Goat) (from the name of the inventor- Roger Gamaunt and Goat for its mountain goat like off road abilities. Thanks for the content of your videos.

Thanks 😊 glad you enjoyed the video. The funny thing is I was in O'fallon before going to the show. (Gateway Classic's) I was there on Saturday it's usually a three day show. I would recommend Friday or Saturday, sometime people are leaving on a Sunday. I least that was my experience at a different show. I'm not sure on the time of next year's show. This year it was July 26-28. You can check their website, American farm & Heritage Museum for more info.
