I turned 13 in March 1976 and I am grateful that I lived through to he best decade of music. Music made back then is still being played on the radio 54 years later. I doubt very much that Ed Sheeran Sugar Babes and groups today will still have their music played on the radio in 2074. The 1970s I believe we're the VERY BEST decade for music TV etc etc. I do wish we could go back to those Carefree days where everybody was friendlier there was no stress and no PC brigade around.

Couldn’t of said it better! The people who say “all modern music is trash i like this and that is better” Like it’s fine if you don’t like most modern or even a specific genre of music but it doesn’t mean it’s all horrible!!
@86BarbOmega3 жыл бұрын
i dont know, i havent listened to modern music since 2005, what I have heard of modern music feels autotuned, and repetitive and overall sterile and pretentious not like the 60s, 70s and 80s where it felt genuine and ALIVE, from the heart and full of honesty
@arturoromero9513 жыл бұрын
That is very true. And the point is that many people have different music tastes and other styles that we should learn to appreciate. While many people like Barbarella might argue that modern music isn’t feeling up to quality, that part is genuinely not entirely true. The problem for certain artists is that if the music feels lifeless, then it’s either them or the companies wanting to make money or just gain popularity. However, they still make music to make people feel alive no matter what genre or what style of song it is. Autotune is always something people treat as only a bad thing even though many talented singers use it as the cherry on top as well. The only issue is when singers and producers use it in a way that it puts unconventional standards on how the singer is supposed to sing it to the point where it doesn’t feel as genuine, or worse when artists who have literally no talent (Jake Paul and surprisingly even Bhad Bhabie) use it as a way to mask their true talents and abilities. Otherwise I have no problem. But in general, music in popular culture has evolved so much that there are a great amount of music we can learn to appreciate as there are newer genres, styles, and opportunities for many singers, producers, groups, and others into music to be able to do what they love. Around 2005, I don’t generally think music was only lifeless, it probably is just your general opinion depending on your tastes but sometimes there are many artists that love to do it for the love of it, rather than only aim to impress. So while I see Barbarella’s point, I would only say that that is their issue they are dealing with and there is still great music out there.
