DOB 1956. These groups are all what I remember from childhood radio.

Does anyone else find it hysterical that several of the still shots shown in this video aren't of the band they are discussing? I noticed it a couple of times and was going to remain silent, but when discussing the Monkees they showed a pic of the Loving Spoonful I found I couldn't resist.

You’re right. I’m seeing them in concert next month. And Bill Medley has a new album coming out. A song just dropped- These Days, with Bill singing with Vince Gill. Sounds great. Bill is a legend.

I watched the trial where John Foggerty was being sued by the other members of CCR for his solo songs sounding like CCR songs. When John was finally asked he said your honor I admit it that does sound like me. The whole courtroom erupted in laughter. He was CCR he wrote all their hits was the lead singer and played guitar The rest of them especially his brother should of just went along with what John said to do and they probably would of never broke up

Many of these groups just got older over time, but their music lives on. Some of them are still performing today. Many of them have disbanded and went on to form other groups. You have to remember many of these guys are in their 70s and 80s (or more), no one lives forever

You mentioned many of the best remembered and most influencial bands and musicians from those years. Just because bands are history don't make them forgotten. Changes in line-up, are usually common. Drugs have had widely different effects on the social dynamics within groups. Alcohol abuse has always been the most damaging, although socially acceptable in many peoples views, I think most drugs can be used as well as abused. Makes it seem like you're using a defected radar 😅. Look for better pictures as well! Just a suggestion - or let's say "Two pennies from me"..

I find it to be an extremely interesting review of early rock bands. However, most of them still perform - in one form of another - and I don't understand "gone" in the title.

The Rolling Stones have NOT fallen off the radar. They been going strong after 60 plus years. Also doesn't every group (except the Stones) fall off the radar after 60 years. Do I really need to comment about the Beatles.

It's false that Deep Purple did not tour again since 1976. The got together in the 80's, and they are still in a tour right now, with their new album of 2024.

I'm not sure what the point of this clip is because you take Grand Funk Railroad and imply they are forgotten when both Grand Funk and their lead singer Mark Farmer have been touring and playing shows for decades. Maybe they are forgotten by causal music fans but to those like them can still see their shows. What you are missing the point about is that the face 55 years later fans can still see bands like Grand Funk and Mark Farmer is unusual since the Big Band era only lasted about 10 years and folk music had a 20 year run but rock n roll has been going strong for 65 years!!
