Imran without his great leap!Changed his action completely around to such a smooth sprint building up to a great leap of a slightly angular run-up!

Imran the aristo snob regarded 'low class' Botham with contempt
@zibtihaj32132 жыл бұрын
Botham went too far with his clearly jealous comments . Even Mike Whitney went on national tv and thanked Imran for teaching him reverse swing - that got Mike wickets against the mighty West Indies - in a particular match. So I mean, taking a bottle cap incidence and making it more than it is … is just jealously - did y see Botham face when Imran gave his victory speech after the World Cup final win- That says it all. Imran is and never was perfect - most likely was a snob . All that attention on a young man and I am not surprised he was .. I like to think he grew out of it now .

No helmets. They'd just been used for the first time a few months before in world series cricket and it wasn't long before the game changed because of them. Surprised how Imran just got in with it after being struck on the head by Botham.

9:05- the umpire cheated. his hand didnt go up as soon as the foot crossed the line as was done in those days, he waited for the catch to complete , then signalled

Not how it was done in " those days" . ....? The arm raised horizontal was for the scorers benefit, to the players on the park it was a call of no ball made

@@DNW28 yes- but we didnt hear the call when the bowler crossed , right?? and in any case if it was no ball, why peek and wait for the ball to go to keeper?? i've played top club levl cricket and umpired, 'NO' is wat we shout once the foot crosses the line. anyway, its history now!
