From one spam lover to another I have a quick recipe for you. One onion and one bell pepper chopped and sauteed until tender. Add two cans of spam(chopped) to onion and pepper cook for five minutes . Add barbecue sauce and simmer for fifteen minutes. Eat on buns like sloppy joes. Hope you'll try it. Hope you all love it like my family does ❤️

I live on a fixed income and to make ends meet I make everything from scratch so economical but I don't have any children to run after either. That 8 can pack of chili was outrageous in price 😦 paper products are expensive without a doubt. I am very happy that you have decided to fill those gaps in your short term pantry. We never know what tomorrow will bring having enough to ride you through the turbulent waters is a stress relief. Blessings❤️

I was getting rid of old receipts yesterday and I found one from 2019 and our groceries which was a huge haul for $180. I found one from this yr it was almost $400. I call it price and gouging by companies and stores. You guys are great. 💙🙏💙

I was amazed at how fascinated Olivia was with all the colors and shapes of the purchases. Even when you turned away she twisted around to see them. It seems encouraging how interested she is with the world around her. Good job mom and dad at including and exposing her to 'everything'. PS, I'm an 81 year old man who's family is scattered everywhere.

I stocked up just a bit at our Costco. ( Moore, Oklahoma ) I did paper goods, Laundry Supplies, Bottled Water 2 cases and I've drank almost all of it. I keep our 9 month old grandson during the day...I bought Kirkland brand formula for Ace $21.99. It was a lot cheaper than & larger than WalMarts brand. I had ordered diapers & wipes by the case from Amazon earlier this year or at the end of 2022. I still have wipes but he's been out of Luv's for a while. Had to get more from Walmart last week. He is a CHUNK. 24 pounds already. He's in size 4 but 5's are in close range. I need to get out of bed and go do more pantry shopping today. You've just increased my Sunday work load. I'm not complaining. My Costco haul was $668 last week. I need canned goods this trip and a rice cooker & bread maker. I need Audrey to come help me. Ha Ha! Costco has been a blessing. AND Premium Gasoline is under $3/gal. It was $51.99 to fill my Jeep!!!! I had to do a Happy Dance by the Pumps.

This family lives in North Pole Alaska, that is 300+ miles north from where I live in Alaska Wasilla, so spend $800 shopping at a Costco in Anchorage Alaska 42 miles from my home in Wasilla. The trip from NP cost and the shopping more than $800. The Parks Highway is not an easy or safe road trip to make during the winter months. The big Alaskan moose can be encountered anywhere along the PHwy and that isn't counting the icy road.

We bought a freeze drier, it's a great alternative to our emergency pantry taking way less space. For us OTC meds, pasta, tomato sauce, pickles are a must. Living in the land of hurricanes is scary since every thing we stored can get blown away but being a former mountain dweller with snow storms I know it's better to be prepared than not.

Ouch! Everything here in central, west coast of Florida is up. Some things doubled or more in the last couple of years. Even a can of ravioli is up a good 50 cents a can of more from last year. We're lucky enough to have a lot of choices when it comes to shopping so we can shop around a little bit, but it's getting a lot harder to buy necessities, much less an extra can. You're great parents preparing your children for adulthood by having them help with chores like this and being made aware of how much the real world costs and how to deal with it. Great job all and a big hug to little Olivia!

Our last haul was 700 dollars. We tend to go every 8-12 weeks as a family of 6 in ohio. But that includes alot of chilled stuff like cases of bitter, cheese and chicken. We cloth diaper here to save money so that's one expense we don't have to worry about. But with the last train derailment being 10 minutes from our home and authorities being slow on releasing any info on whether any chemicals leaked or if they were going to go to any extent of evaluating in the area, it was nice to know that we were at some level of preparedness and if need to be just load our passenger van and go.

I live in Florida so if I’m keeping stuff, it’s canned goods because of hurricanes. Things we can easily eat and make without electricity. Of course some of the stuff doesn’t taste as good but it’s fine. Usually like chef boyardee and Vienna Sausage. But I usually eat very healthy, whole, fresh foods so I don’t usually eat those or keep them on hand unless a hurricane is coming. I always keep rice in the house for a normal time but not a lot of it. But my fiancé and I love rice. I literally just bought that vanilla extract yesterday. was 10-11$ here in Florida.

Audrey so could you add a price column to the computer list, maybe multiple columns so you could record prices and the dates of purchase. Also maybe refine the list to total on hand, and then a need to add on a separate list? It might work in a spread sheet format so that as items are used from the on hand list, it would tick up the need to purchase list. Just a thought.

The one thing that always shocks me is how much you all pay for bottled water, even down in the continental US. Here at Costco the Kirkland 40 pack is $3.69CAD/$2.66 USD. Glad you are all stocked up!

I have a small pantry and always like to have 2-3 of items on hand. We have Sams Club in town and they are building as we speak a new Costco about 2 miles from our house. Due to inflation we spend about $100-150 more on a Sams Club haul. We don’t get extras really- no cookies- no convenience meals so I guess in comparison I do about the same as you folks! BTW- we are in Buckeye AZ- we have been to Alaska twice ( cruising) it’s beautiful! I would love to drive up there in our RV and spend a couple months in the summer! Love you all and your family! I used to hold out for Bounty and Charmin paper products, but I won’t pay the prices anymore (this was helped by the septic pumping company recently informing me Charmin is the worst in septic tanks as it does not break down as well as other brands). Nothing like a Christmas time septic crisis to push a person off brand loyalty. 😂

Yeeeaaaa 😬 it’s gettin rough out there with the groceries. Costco is so convenient to just go in and get everything in one big swoop, but now we have switched to shopping the “loss leaders” in the sale weekly with smaller stores to stock our pantry and freezer.

Olivia is getting big. She is so curious on all the grocery items. Great job Audrey on getting things that you needed. Love all of you.

I guessed 1000. We spend 300 and come out with a lot less than half of what you got so your total surprised me. On another note, starting at 8:50, I heard 'like' 8 times in the next 16 seconds. That also surprised me.

I'd say your total is about right. Here in California or more like "Gouge Your Money From Ya", (ridiculous taxes & gas prices by the way) Costco prices rival if not are a bit more for some items you got there. Thank goodness my husband and I have both a Costco and Sam's Club membership. Sam's club tends to lean more on the affodable side for wholesale than Costco and their brands of goods are just as reliable in quality as Kirkland for a way cheaper price. Sam's Club is an affiliate of Walmart so thank God the prices stay affordable. My husband and I just began to enjoy your channel and all the footage you post of your family, life, life in Alaska, and the wonderful work you guys do in the Lord's name to help out those in need. Lord bless your family always. Alaska has been part of our bucket list of places to see so maybe we'll see you up there sometime. By the way, if you guys ever get a Sam's Club in Alaska or in your area give em a try, you won't regret it. So God bless and lots of love from the "City Of Angels".

Most can't. I can barley get regular groceries...in fact.. I can't. I have to put things back. No way I can by stock. Maybe if I film the random stuff my family does during the the day I can afford to feed my family. Lol

I just buy an extra couple cans or a package of items I use regularly each trip, especially of any item I have already used that week. It is a slower method but eventually I have a stock of a month or two of these often used items and only have to replace what I use each week, putting the new one in the back and using the oldest first. However, being able to buy a whole case now and again does save money, but you do not have to buy everything at once if you do not have that much money extra in the budget.

While some can't do it, others think they can't do it -- it just requires some organization, doing a budget to see where all their money is going, and planning. For example, if an item is on sale for 1/2 price, buy two and put one aside...you don't have to buy an entire case at a time :-)
