My son is one of the nicest people I know. Well, we are at the secondhand store. They asked him if he could fix a flat tire on Santas sleigh for the parade tonight and then they found out that nobody was available to decorate the towns vehicles so he decorated it and did a good job. He is always there to help people and I’m sure there’s many more people like him.

I love your blog and the Random Acts of Kindness. I don't know if the person who did a RAK watches your channel, but I just want to share one with you. My husband is a self-employed 74-year-old truck driver. We live in North Dakota When he stopped to eat a couple of days ago an unknown person paid for his meal. There are still good people in this world.

Our first stop when we get to Alaska is Raising Canes in Wasilla. Finally got one an hour away in NC. Still can't get a Chick-fil-A in our town, nearest 20 minutes away. Affordable housing an issue everywhere. Car supply fairly good considering the amount of accidents happening every day. My son got his teeth cleaned and they're 11 months out on next cleaning. Covid decreased number of healthcare providers and shortages still continue. Carol King, Clayton, NC.

Holidays aren't the best for us. My husband and I are battling serious health issues, a rift in our extended family avoidable and caused us not to spend holidays as a whole family and we're hurting. Pray that this rift resolves itself, it was silly and totally avoidable, a simple I'm sorry would do a lot. I want my family healed before I'm called home.

I do random acts of kindness weekly throughout the year. I help neighbors with snowblowing in the winter, lawnwork in the warm months, and make meals that I can share with elderly neighbors. Hi Bert ,Alaska is not the only place with all the shortages you spoke of they are everywhere. Houseing is the worst and everywhere you go you see buisines in dire need of help many are going out of buisiness because they can’t get the help. All of this started with covid and has never gone back to normal only worse. I live in Maine. I love acts of kindness . I love doing things to make people happy and get more from it than they do. Thank you and your family for always being a reminder of what Gods love looks like. Have a beautiful blessed day God Bless you all !!!🙏🕊❤️🎄⛄️

Great Videos. Some notes from Los Angeles...Automobiles that are less than $5,000 are easy to find but typically they will have 250,000 miles on them and need expensive work i.e. particularly emission controls. Thanks to the mild weather here we don't see cars rusting out after 5-6 years on the road and it's common to see 25 year old vehicles still in use. The trouble here is California requires 3-Way Catalytic Converters (and it's illegal to put on a used one) which on a 15 year old car a new Converter (sometimes there are 2 Converters for 4 Cylinders and 4 Converters for 6 and 8 Cylinders) will frequently cost more to replace than the car is worth. Another thing is housing - it's common to see a Studio Apt. going for $1600 a month.

Worker shortages are definitely a thing in the tri-state area of Pa/NJ/De. Hospital workers, techs, and definitely retail. I work retail for the biggest big box in the US, and they raised starting wages back during Covid, And recently dropped them back down. But in the meantime, they removed bonuses and any incentive to work harder. There are no performance reviews any longer, and everyone gets the same raise of 2%. Not even close to COL. And now they're cutting hours on top of that, Merry Christmas! So yep, people are looking for greener pastures. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer. I watch your family because it cheers me and reminds me that good actually exists. Thank you for that. Much love!

California here. Everything you mentioned that you have a shortage of is the same for us. Used cars are crazy expensive. Medical workers are rare. Ammunition is horribly expensive compared to a couple of years ago. I live in L.A. County so we have “runs” on items….then they become hard to find or expensive. Good luck and thank you for all you do. Thank you for your calendar. I’m working on my veterans cards. We don’t have a local VA hospital but, we have a clinic. I’m hoping to have 125 cards (signed with a note) by Monday. I’m almost there!
