10:37 I understand what Dee means I definitely feel that it’s true that no one ever fully gets canceled and that it seems pointless sometimes. But if you know someone is a crappy person, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with withdrawing support and spreading that info. Maybe it will make room for less crappy people to fill those spaces. I understand the thing about not letting all the crappy people in the world invade your mental space to the point to where you become emotionally/mentally compromised though!

I’m sorry but saying “that was a long time ago” for a celebrity doing something racist is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. The real question is why were they comfortable as a child doing those things? There is no excuse at all for that behavior Edit: please watch this (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKjPcq1naNKIjdE)
@magnadelusor42493 жыл бұрын
The reason is because some children don’t know what they’re doing is wrong. No child knows anything is wrong until they’re told or punished for it. If they do something racist and no one lets them know they don’t know it’s wrong but when they grow up they can look back at it and say yeah that was fucked up. You should hold a kid doing racist things to the same level as a kid cursing because they heard their parents say a bad word

@aiontheos7483 жыл бұрын
now this is another problem ppl have and that's lack of understanding and jumping into conclusions...i was adding to what dee was saying at the end of the video not what the celebrity did...and doing something wholeheartedly at one point and then realising it's bad later on is very possible but the world is not so indulgent as to suffer fools,so i get it. I'm talking about generally, cuz ppl are not called out just for hate crimes,the one's that get the most publicity are not even as deep...
@renee0003 жыл бұрын
@@aiontheos748 Umm I believe that was your mistake of not clarifying you were speaking generally instead of the specific person the rest of us were talking about 😑 but ok. Realizing it’s bad later doesn’t really mean anything, the damage has already been done. Also if I don’t see genuine proof someone has changed, I’m not just going to give the benefit of the doubt.
@brucenatelee3 жыл бұрын
The Mark Wahlburg thing is true. I do think that if what somebody does bothers you to not support them, even if others who are involved in their success suffers from it for something they didn't do. However, I try to not bother with things from somebody's past if they have changed. To me, the change matters more than the problems that no longer exist. Some things are a product of their time, and if that matters too much, then literally anything shouldn't be allowed because of consequences in the future.
