Shoot what's up man! I'm a huge fan obviously!! My hope is that people will stumble across these silly videos and see me making a fool out of myself with these little mini-covers and hopefully feel inspired to pick up their guitars and post covers of their own! I learned guitar from watching KZbin videos so I like to think of these lessons as giving back to the KZbin guitar community. The covers act as a preview for people that may not have heard the song before and also a way for me to pay homage to my favorite artists (like yourself) and songs (like this one). Cheers for stopping by and leaving a comment! Also feel free to correct me on anything so others that come after can benefit!! Much love fam 🙏 🙌 ❤️

Hey Javon! That is great to hear! Congratulations!! 🙏 🙌 For this song and other Steve Lacy tutorials you should check out Djence's channel! He has some really great tutorials on a lot of other great indie artists as well! Here is a link to the tutorial for Dark Red: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHywZWSAn7lpi8k

What's up Tokyo VR! Nice one!! Lot's of synthesizers in this one but I'm sure it could be transposed to guitar!! It's funny I was just thinking about transposing a different synthesizer pop song today actually that has a similar sound but happier vibe than this song. It's called "Boots & Cats" by Caughy and it's been stuck in my head for some while now as these synth songs seem to always do! Definitely check that one out and I will put this one in my rotation and see if I can figure something out for it! Thanks so much for your request Tokyo VR!! 🙏 🙌

@@jockcampbell5246 I might make a lesson on it if I have time but it would be the shortest lesson ever if I just covered Dizza rhythm chords. It sounds like he's going from an Am bar chord to a G bar chord and playing a G#m bar chord in between! Kind of reminds me of what Seamus does in the chorus of Cyclone like right here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKuroKivnpunask That walk up and walk and walk back down sounds so cool!

Hey how did u tune ur guitar becuz mine sounds way offkey
@LibertyLoftLessons2 жыл бұрын
Hey Ali! It's standard tuning (EADGBe) but the tone is kind of crazy! I actually recorded DI into Logic and used the Spin Box pedal to make it sound like a synth/organ! Also added a touch of reverb! Hope this helps!! 🙏 🙌

@@LibertyLoftLessons I found him intirally off a youtube channel called David Dean Burkhart. That accounts posts a lot of lowkey artist. He has some other good songs like Crystal Ship and Fade Away. I also found a small group called Cousin Kula, you should check them out. Babybak and Now That You're Gone are some good songs by them!

@LibertyLoftLessons3 жыл бұрын
Hey Elijah! Actually I wanted to make a lesson for this one as soon as it came out but had to shelve it so I will have to revisit it again to see if I can finally figure it out. Ella Ammann first requested this song on the Corduroy video a few months ago and this was my response to her: "Hey Ella! I'm with you! I actually tried learning this song right after it came out and I have to admit I am stumped. I can hear the slides but I'm still trying to find the right dyads/triads that he plays after them. As proof, here is what I can up with so far but I really don't think it's right: e|--------------------------------------------------------------- B|-----------6----------------9----9/11---11---9---11- G|-----------6------8/10-10--10/12--12--10--12- D|---6/8-------8--------------------------------------------- A|--------------------------------------------------------------- E|---------------------------------------------------------------- I do know the basic chord progression is Bbm Eb Ab Db but I would prefer watching them play a live version before releasing a video to make sure I'm teaching it right. Hopefully this helps!!"
