My subscribers won't be surprised at the length of this video. LOL! There's just so much to show and say that I can't edit it down to a few bullet points. Once again, I wasn't paid for this video...but, I think I had to allow that this was a sponsored video because I accepted the product for free. In this video I use the Sabotheat a number of times at different settings while on different layovers. I've noticed that there are two types of Sabotheat portable ovens...one is cheaper and much like the HotLogic Mini (but still has an on/off switch) the other has the timer/six heat settings. Make sure to get the one with the setting options!
Here's a link to the Sabotheat (I think there's a great coupon) amzn.to/3FGJsGj
Here's a link to my ABSOLUTE favorite lunch bag/cooler (You'll have to trust me on this one.) amzn.to/3FJI06i
My links are affiliate links, so if you do purchase anything with those links, I'll earn a (tiny) amount that will hopefully add up. LOL!

Placing parchment paper (you can get it in the baking aisle or at Costco inside the container before you put the food in allows you to just toss after you are done and it's good up to 425 degrees. Its a lazy travel food hack I use all the time.

I bought the Sabotheat and took it on my last trip. I heated up my meal (chicken thigh, sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts) in a plastic container (like the Glad containers) for about 45 minutes on 6 and it was fine. Since I was just trying this with plastic, I laid a sheet of foil wrap on top of the heating element and sat my container on it. Thanks for the review!

It’s completely easy to confirm the Hot Logic is On, by just feeling the bottom of the unit 30 seconds after you plug it in. Plus the Hot Logic only draws 45 Watts and can be used in a car, boat or solar battery set up. Nice review opinion-thanks👍

I'm glad there is a Hot Logic alternative with more bells and whistles for those who want them, but one thing I love about my Hot Logic is that I never really have to worry about setting it or burning anything. But based on your recommendations I will mention the SabotHeat to my friends when they ask about my Hot Logic so they can choose whichever fits their needs. Thanks for the comparison!

You do a Great job with your videos. The hot heat hot pads are really nice to have. This summer as I was traveling, the motels and Hotels did not have microwaves in them. I couldn't heat or make any foods to eat that I brought with me. To save money. I had to eat out all my meals in restaurants. So I spent more than what I wanted. . Would love to have one of those heater uppers. Keep up the good work with your videos. God Bless You and Stay Safe.

I bought both a hot logic mini and sabotheat after watching your videos. The microwave at work is just so nasty. I love the hot logic because I can throw the box of frozen meal or freeze bag in it and it is ready at my lunch time. I would like the sabotheat but it is limited to type of container where hot logic brags about using even teh box the frozen meal comes in. Have you thought about these? Alimat PluS Silicone Food Storage Containers with Lids - 3 Pack Set 27oz/800ml Collapsible Meal Prep Lunch Containers - Microwave, Freezer and Dishwasher Safe from Amazon. I keep it collapsed in the hot logic and then I can take anything with me in any container. Sometimes, I carry two meals worth in a freezer bag, take out what I want and throw rest in fridge. They weigh nothing, fight inside and I always have something with me. 16 something for 3 and have 20% off coupon, I gave the pink one to a receptionist as I gave her a hot logic for her birthday. They wash so quickly and easily.

Great video! Does the sabot heater have a delayed starting timer? When the sabot oven finishes cooking, does it automatically switch to a warming mode? If no auto. Warming mode, how long do you think the food will stay warm before you have to start reheating the food? Can you put the entire sabot oven in the refrigerator prior to using it or would the unit be damaged?

Well, in regards of it being on an off.... You could fix that somewhat easily with a 230 volt that lights up when power is on, I would think that it would be available, although more to carry of cause. You could also find a switch for it that has some kind of light when turned on, and get an electrician to put it on the cable for you. But overall, something should be able to be sorted out - but you make a valid point, and maybe I should look into it. Although...... I might have another way, but I am using the 12 volts version which I am modifying at the moment and testing out and thinking about options.

So we need to know how it will function in 12V cig lighter configurations. Becasue the HL will work on a 12V 120wat max cig light that are most common in cars. The HotLogic can take a while depending on how cold your food is and how dense it is. My last experience with the Sabotheat was heating up a large portion of macaroni and cheese in 30 minutes on level 3. I was overjoyed! If I'm taking a long nap, or if I'm going out on an excursion my hot logic many is always fine. But sometimes I just don't want to take the time.

Do you still like your SabotHeat mini-oven? Given its $49.99 List Price, the smaller low temperature HotLogic Mini is a ripoff with its lack of adjustable features. Based on your excellent review, I just bought two 110V SabotHeats, one on a $16.99 Amazon coupon and the other at $23.99. Haven't used them yet. The 34-ounce, $6.99 ovenproof glass (Pyrex-type) inserts with plastic storage lids will arrive from IKEA next week. I'll use disposable aluminum foil covers for the heating process. Hi Steven, since this is your most recent video, I would like to ask you a concerning question. I am interested at my late age in seeing about any possibility in being hired as a flight attendant. My concern is that I am too old and would not be taken as a serious candidate and passed up for a younger applicant. I am turning 68 next week and have had a full career as a letter carrier with the US Postal Service. I am anxious to continue with my life, not wanting to throw the towel in, and see if I could do this. I am in excellent health and have an eagerness to always be challenging myself. I wish I had done this so much earlier in my life but just wanted to get your opinion on whether you think I even have a shot. My fear is that they will see me as someone who would not be with an airline for a great length of time and that I would even be seen by passengers as somewhat of an "old bird" and why am I even there. I enjoy your videos and they are such a great resource of information. Sincerely, Jim. P.S. I live in Tucson, Arizona.

Hi there. If you haven't watched this video I made (quite a while ago), give it a look. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGOzc6afpMSXncU It's all about the skill sets you've learned in your years and how lucky an airline would be to have you. If you're healthy, strong enough to lift your own luggage, and can handle a total lack of control of your work/schedule (no small thing) apply! HR and anyone interviewing you can't legally ask your age, so it's none of their business.

Airplane, I guess they used 230 volts and not 110 volts.... You can check the package and should tell you how many voltage it accepts. Now you could get a converter if you wanna cook the food on the airplane I'm sure. Although it will again, need some more weight. Although thinking about it, 110 volts as far as I know is another kind of plug then the 230 volts. But it still sounds like there is more voltage in the airplane plug if it burned it out. Maybe he used an adapter from one plug to another and forgot, or did not know, the difference of the volts.

You can buy aluminum containers at the dollar store, they come packed 3 or 5, and keep them in the unit while traveling, then put food in one to cook and just throw it away afterward. You won't notice any weight difference with aluminum and I'd be more concerned about heating food in plastic then in aluminum. (Before all the "aluminum is toxic" folks jump on this, A) there is ZERO evidence that this is true and, B) you should know restaurants use aluminum for all of their cooking--not out front where customers can see but in the back, because aluminum is the best conductor of heat. If they used SS or cast iron we'd have to wait a lot longer for our food and some of it would not be cooked to our expectations!)

You can always line aluminum foil/containers with some parchment paper if that's a concern...

I've tried to find a Road Pro product that has a regular electrical plug, and not a car lighter plug (12 Volt?) or one that is collapsible to be able to pack it...cand find anything. Can you recommend one of their products specifically? I'd try it out.
