For any team to chew a big contract, the Rangers will lose Cuylle. Guaranteed. Ive said it before, this team needs to tank a few seasons, load up on blue chip prospects, and actually develop them properly, unlike what they did with Kakko and Lafreniere. The Rangers have some decent young core pieces to build around, but they have just done it all wrong. In my eyes, Kreider and Kakko might end up going, and neither you will get a big return on, considering Kakko has struggled his entire career except for this season, and even at that, he was supposed to develop as a sniper, but only has 4 goals to show for it. Hes on pace to score less goals than last season. I can definitely see the Sens take a shot at Kakko considering the only thing that holds any real value in Kakko is his contract is up at the end of the year, and will be a team friendly contract, which the Sens need, that could see a better fit with Kakko, and allows the Sens to waive Armadio, who hasnt done anything with the third line at all, and would be a good upgrade to the third line and give Kakko a chance to thrive in what he was meant to be, and thats a sniper on the Pinto line. Kakko needs a new home where he can excel, and Ottawa might be that spot that works the best for him. Now with Kreider, I think he still has value for a team that needs a good net presence on the offensive line, so teams will be interested in Kreider, but anyone else, the contracts pin them down to remain as Rangers unless they give up a ton to get rid of those said contracts, and thats too big a price to pay. Drury should have never signed Shesterkin just yet, cause now the Rangers will go into a rebuild with an 11.5M goaltender. If I was in a rebuild, I definitely would not lock up 11.5M on a goaltender, no matter how good he is.

Drury is a big problem. This team lacks speed throughout the entire team, and size on the blueline. Even though Miller is big, he's a stick checker only. Schneider is the only D-man that uses the body. Lindgren has suffered too many injuries, and looks done. Fox is not physical at all and has always been slow. Jimmy Vesey and Johnny Broadway are sitting because Brett Berard is outplaying both, I believe Lavy when he says he values both and enumerates each of their strengths. It stands to reason that getting fresh legs into a back and back, especially given the team’s failures, is a solid choice that requires no defending. On the question of who to scratch besides Bread for health reasons, my choice would have been Kreider, except that makes little sense if the team is shopping Kreider. Unless Kaako is traded before the next game, it’s reasonable to assume he would be the choice to scratch by default, as unfair as it may seem

Not saying that it will happen for the Rangers, but clearly, this team is underachieving. Maybe there needs to be a new voice to replace Lavi. I'm thinking the team they have this year is basically the team they had last year. And, that team should have won the cup. But, they ran out of gas against FL. So, clearly, the elephant in the room is, if we couldn't get it done last year, what's the point if it's probably not going to make it this year. I'm Bruins fan myself but started out as a Rangers fan. So it's Boston #1 and Rangers #2. I had a #19 Rangers shirt whenever I played street hockey....Jean Ratelle.... I do watch all the high lites (or low lites lately for both the B's and Rangers). I watch all the games hilites. I find myself rooting for Vancouver (JT Miller, Jake DeBrusk, Elias Petterson and Brock Boeser) and the Red Wings (Patrick Kane, Vlady Tarasenko, Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Larkin.) Basically, I think the Rangers have just given up for this year after last year. It's probably going to be Tampa Bay this year with Nakita Kutcherov, Brayden Point and how about them getting Jake Guentzel. That's one terrifying line. The depth is real good after them. Not looking good for the B's and the Rangers this year. I also think the Penguins never got over losing Guentzel. He was Cyd's guy. That's my 2 cents.

Anyone talking about this guy or that is just missing the big picture. Fire Drury and this team goes on a winning streak. The only alternative to move out all the big contracts and start over. Drury disrespected the team's leaders and they are just not going to play for him ever again. Maybe Drury can make the peace but he seems to be on a power trip at this point so that's that. I can see the Sens going for Kakko to get him in the mix with Pinto to get some more scoring on the bottom 6. If that happens, Cousins could be on the waiver wire to make room for Kakko and get a sniper in place if he works out, could take the place of Claude Giroux if he chooses to retire and pair him with Stutzle if Staios decides not to move Josh Norris. He would have a chance to move up with the Sens and be with a quality line, especially if the Sens also decide to try to go after Trent Frederic from Boston to solidify the third line, and we see Gregor re-paired with Gaudette, that did work early on in the year.

@@TheMediumChannel ooh god, Kakko for Tkachuk, Staios would be fired lol. Kakko is worth a 3rd and a prospect at best. At best. The biggest piece personally I would want from the Rangers is Braeden Schneider as he signed to a 2 year contract, and a guy Ottawa could really use if the Sens want to part from Zub and pair with Sanderson to lock up their 6D. Kakko would be a part of the package aswell and a first rounder (i would prefer in 2027 or 2028 draft, whichever draft Lamon Dupont is eligible to be in) unprotected, and the Rangers would also take Travis Hamonic, but again, that trade wont happen cause the Sens are locked with Brady and arent moving him. If the Rangers truly are open for business, they should really look to trying to get Schneider and Kakko (if the price is right), but Schneider is my guy I would go for big time. As far as the trade for Kakko, to me, would be perhaps an Ostapchuk and a 3rd or a Donovan and a 3rd. For a Schneider, that I could possibly see in a bigger trade that could involve maybe a Ridly Grieg and a 2nd for Schneider. Grieg is in the same boat right now and trying to find a spot for him, but the Rangers could definitely use a guy like Ridly Grieg and could also use a guy like Zach Ostapchuk, and could be expendable to the Sens since they found lightning in a bottle in Adam Gaudette. The trade would serve both teams well. Sens would sure up their 3rd line and solidify their D-core, and the Rangers would be well on their way to rebuild the prospect pool while getting good value from the Schneider trade and get pieces you can build a new core around, especially if they want to protect Cuylle, who will be the face of that franchise going forward. Dont let the stats fool you with Grieg. He's becoming that Brad Marchant who is annoying to play against, gets under your skin and can draw a lot of penalties. The Rangers can definitely use him, and get extra draft picks you can use to try to move a big contract out without hopefully using the draft capital the Rangers currently have.

Dunce - how would u react to being blamed for everything that goes wrong with the team? He gets blamed for not producing with 20/93 who everyone now knows are terrible. How would u feel if u get no PP time? All he ever hears is what he does wrong.

Kakko had the same fate as Lafreniere. Terribly developed. Both of them.

@@chrisfortin984 the difference is LaF got a chance to skate with Panarin who had his best season ever. Kakko gets stuck with 20/93. What if the reverse happened?
@chrisfortin98414 сағат бұрын
@@jamesbrymn7353 What if is the reason he was under-developed. He never had the chance, and look where he is. If it was the reverse, Lafreniere would be in the same boat, and worth just as much. Before the start of last season I was screaming for Ottawa to go after Lafreniere when his value was rock bottom. Going for Kakko, ya again, Ottawa should go for while his value is still low. However while pondering if the Rangers really are open for business, I changed my mind about going after Kakko and think the Sens should really focus on going after Braeden Schneider. I was really hoping Dorion would have moved up in the draft from the 28th spot and trade up and get Schneider and win the draft getting Stutzle, Sanderson and Schneider. Schneider would lock up their 6D for years to come as they will re-sign Jensen, especially when Carter Yakemchuk comes in next season. Its not hard to trade for a scoring third liner, but getting a guy like Schneider and pair him with Sanderson, and get rid of Artyom Zub, thats a big upgrade to their D and completely lock up their back end, or if Yakemchuk pairs with Sanderson, Schneider can pair with Kleven, again locking up the D-core and keep their depth on D with JBD.

There is a discourse between young and old. For example, Lines 3 and 4 were both playing well but a championship contender needs Lines 1 & 2 to be good along with 3rd & 4th lines.
