it does however what your not considering is next year they are gonna start signing alot of that young talent to huge contracts and ultimately some hard decisions are gonna have to take place no matter what, 100% even if they wanted to they won't be able to keep current roster longer than 1 to 2 years before having to get more rookies or veterans on min salary in exchange for these budding young guys. SGA is looking at a 80m a year supermax, both Chet and JDub looking at 30+ mil a year contracts. Ihart, Dort, Joe, Wiggins, and Caruso most likely atleast 2-3 of those guys will be gone at the end of 2 years.

Technically, it would be re-re-union. We drafted Chris Paul when New Orleans were playing in OKC. I would love for him to finish his career here. He helped start that spark in OKC.

Not a bad trade, this team needs some confident playmaking/scoring outside of Shai, but I would rather have a more prolific scorer than a playmaker like Paul (who is still averaging like 8 assists).

We have all the right key pieces to make a serious push to contend for a championship. We have more picks than realistic roster spots. CP3's production has declined, but he is a top PG of all time, and his value lies more in his veteran presence, leadership/mentorship. We could make the argument that the SGA we see right now wouldnt be the same level player without that year that CP came over. Paul has one of the greatest basketball minds ever. Even if we only get him for another year or so, Topic will be coming in next year anyway. Imagine Topic being mentored by CP3. Its a no brainer to me.

Flagler and Ducas are on 2 Way contracts. I would do Dieng and Dillon Jones. Dillon Jones currently wears the jersey #3. CP3 is going to want that number. Ajay Mitchell the second round pick from the last draft was outshining the first round pick Dillon Jones. I think we are going to have to shed players anyway with this next draft coming up. That's why I think it might be okay to move on from Dillon Jones.
