Update: I recently tried playing again and the game was working just fine :] Happy I got to have some pretty good interactions with little to no delays. Maybe it was those unlucky times the servers were working overtime. Either way, to the team, keep up the work!

I downloaded this yesterday, and it works at first, but then I say something else and 95% of the npc's don't respond anymore.

I'm having the same problem, but I have yet to get a single response! The microphone input is working, it just says getting response. I waited like three-four minutes a couple times and the npc just stares at me 🤣

@@ReplicaStudios Hi ReplicaStudios. Thanks for working on the problem, a few hours ago I was able to talk to a few npcs and they responded once or even twice, but now I'm not getting anything. Most of the npcs when I hold down c to talk the mic won't even activate. Only on certain npcs will it work, and if it does work the npcs aren't responding. It simply says generating response. Thanks for the really cool and interesting work you are all doing!

I saw a video of a guy Playing this game and what the heck... i really want to play this demo and talk to these npcs by myself, normally i dont like this AI stuff but this is insane cool Will this demo or maybe the final game come to consoles, like ps5? His menu showed he used a xbox Controller and the matrix demo (without ai npcs) allready was on ps5, so I really hope so, even if its not finished and the entire game is just to talk to these npcs, i would buy it instantly on ps5

Wtf is wrong with you people over there at Replica. You’ve had some of the best voice overs for years and then along comes chatgpt and voice chat bots and you guys do nothing. People are using voices from google, Polly, whisper, etc when they could’ve been using yours. You guys haven’t done a real tutorial in months and now you’re talking about smart NPC? That’s an oxymoron. Besides, it’s been done in most game engines using gpt anyway. Create a video showing how to use your voices api and stick to what you know. Thanks for listening.

Lag will still be noticeable in the initial release because it's all cloud hosted. We're working on locally hosted models which have zero lag.

@@neoncyberia we're working on improvements to latency from a cloud only perspective at the moment. As for the future it will more than likely be an optimized combination of cloud + native.

The demo sucks balls because of the high latencies. Most of the time, holding down C does nothing. When it does something, it takes ages for my voice to get translated into text.
