I've played the organ on two or three occasions (my piano teacher was involved in church services amd stuff) and I always wondered how modern songs would sound on it. I think it works really well as the organ has a lot of bass.

As an organist, I agree that a heavy bass in the key to a good performance, whether for church or performance. I've never had the good luck to be organist in a church with a 32 ft bass pedal. I've become quite good at making an electronic organ produce some of the pipe organ sounds by having added "feature" stops included - at my expense.

@@alwellus be lucky for having a pedal :) Im playing maybe the smallest organ in city Nitra, in Slovakia, manual without pedal :) Bourdon 8´, Flauta traversa 4´, Principal 4´, Mixtura 2x2´... Im happy playing it, it has baroque accent, as organist playing it tuned it to baroque temperament (im not involved in temperaments, sorry,) and baroque passacaglias sounds beautiful on it :) But if I had somewhere to learn pedalling :/

@@piter_sk About 50 years back, we had a small gothic church with a small self contained one manual organ in the loft - it had no pedals, only an expression pedal. I never learned pedals until I was sent back to Europe to be educated, and it takes about a year to get a good command of them - and in that year, you learn to accept the fact that you will always miss a pedal now and then. Good luck to you. If you live in a Catholic country, you should have access to an organ with pedals to learn this skill.

@@alwellus everyone misses a key or a pedal, were just people, not machines :) in next village to where I live, they have an one manual with pedal, Im on my way to have good name in that church so I will have access to a church and to organ :) thank you for support, Im proud to play King of Instruments :)
