Something New - XP Deus 2 And Its Sweet!

I got on of these form Steve a year ago and I have beat the crap out of it. Im not east on my equipment at all . Banging into rocks and cornstalks, covered in pounds of mud is the norm. Its still looks like new! I also love how the remote is moved forward so you can easily press buttons with your thumb one handed.

Great review….i got the kit last year with counter weight and extra lower shaft for my 11” coil. I talked with Steve prior to that and we got everything figured out for what exactly I wanted…he’s a great person to deal with and his customer service is second to none. I recently heard about the RCDiggs screw mount and ordered one and another lower shaft go on my 13” coil…..it’s takes an already great mount on Steve’s setup and takes it to another level. I gotta say it’s about as perfect a setup now as it’s gonna get. If you’re on the fence about it..go ahead jump off and get this…I have 100 % confidence that I’ll never lose my remote and have the lightest and most ergonomic setup around…my shoulder thanks me every time I swing the coil.👍

I've had it out a couple of times now and it was great. Its my goto shaft from now on. Stock shafts don't cut it.

I also got one last year and it real nice! I forgot to say for you guys who also got the counterweight always check the back cap because I lost mine 3 weeks of use in the woods. So don't forget to tighten up the cap before use.

With the 11" coil a counter weight would be a nice addition because the unit is front heavy. Good looking shaft set-up.

I’ve got one of the cases and love it too!! But I was talking with an XP dealer and he mentioned that in the summer months to be careful that the control box doesent over heat. Didn’t really think about that

I've used mine all of last year with the older models and it was fine. His new model has the honeycomb top and bottom so that won't be an issue.

Hi , love your channel and really like the school videos on the Deus 2 as i am a new user , was wondering how slick the grip is when sweaty or water use , and how tight is the arm cuff on the shaft , cant see how it clamps on (does it slip any) I really like this setup i am sure i will be ordering one , i dont like the cheesy stand on the stock deus cuff and dont like the fact that u have to use a wire to keep from losing your control unit . Is his stock control box holder eliminate the box from fallling off ? Thanks alot

I haven't noticed it being slick but I haven't had it in wet conditions yet. The arm cuff adjusts with the strap but the cuff itself is not snug there is room to move around so you won't get the side digging into your skin. Steve's original mount (not the RCdigs mount) is really good too. While he will tell you that you shouldn't have any issues with it falling off he still recommends you use the lanyard to be 100% safe. The RCDigs mount is 100%. The way they both engineered the way the mount screws into the shaft is flawless. It will not fall off.

without the counter balance I think it might be lighter or pretty close to the factory. When you add the counter balance it adds weight but displaces it in a way that makes it easier to swing over a long period of time. I was never really into the counter weight idea until he convinced me to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised.

It is really good shaft but the bad thing about after you done hunt land water wherever you hunt make sure wipe out really good tiny dust make’s scratches when you want to make shorter mine it looks terrible right now just don’t make my mistake good video 👍

Is this lighter than regular deus 2 shaft/stem?

I haven't weighed it but I think it might be but what you get that you don't with the original shaft is, better cam locks, reduced chance of the remote falling off (100% zero chance with RCDigs mount), better arm cuff mount (won't roll over anymore), counter weight system etc.

Nice shaft! I'm waiting to hear from Steve concerning the new washers that go with the 13" coil that prevents coil flop. I'll be getting the rod once they arrive.
