I fucking love this show. Bert, you have something special here. Ive worked in restaurants since I was 15 years old (I'm 36 now), and while you make some mistakes (in my opinion) you do an especially good job every damn time. And food brings EVERYONE together in a very special way. This "podcast" is THE ONE I wait for and I am genuinely excited when you have a new episode. I literally don't know the guests about half the time, but I feel an honest connection by the end of each. I could... and WILL, watch every episode you create. You've got a winner here. Thanks for the good times man, this show literally brings my depraved ass joy everytime you post. Keep it up brother, you are making a bigger difference than you probably think. Seriously, this is MY SHIT man! I recommend this show to everyone I speak to. Thank you, from the bottom of my black heart 🤣

Antonia is so right about intuition. I have taught myself to cook over the last several years (and let's be honest you are ALWAYS learning with cooking) and I can't give people exact recipes. I can tell you what I put in it and about how much, but that's it. It's all about taste, sight, smell, etc. She mentions not tasting salted water for pasta, but I never see people taste the marinade they might make for a meat either. Yes it's complexity will change, but tasting it will give you the baseline to look for. Such a cool little interview.

I actually love these because they are almost a perfect podcast like show like Hot ones, you see a bit of real panic in the guest when things go wrong and you have great conversation i think because of the setting. Thanks bert!

One of my favourite episodes! Antonia is delightful and as someone who likes to cook I agreed with all her philosophies on cooking. I always seem to like the episodes the most when one of the guests have some cooking knowledge.

As a dude, who grew up in grandma's kitchen, with a love for food, and a love of the food network, this actually felt like a legit cooking show. Obviously you had the real chef as assistance. But it's the perfect 1-2 punch. A real chef, teaching a real comedian, uncensored. Could even rotate who's who. The restaurant industry, especially the kitchen staff are full of debauchery. If they could relax on tv, with a comedian to bring it out, cooking shows could be a lot cooler. Probably why some of those vice cooking shows were a hit..
