The story where the girl who had been a child in the story, the man who was an adult kept going into her bed, putting his hands on her, touching her, her being afraid of telling her mom because she thought it was her fault, I've heard a lot of children think that when something bad happens to them. Parents or any adult needs to tell a child that if a person touches them inapproprialtly, needs to tell child that it is not their fault. Also that mother needs to be slapped for being so blase about her daughter's concern over her being friends with the pervert on FB. If anyone were touch my child inappropriatly, I would hunt them down and tear them a part. I don't understand how a parent would still be friends with someone who was thinking of molesting their child.
@HexIsme4 жыл бұрын
I agree w/what you've said, but I also think that children think that way because they genuinely can't tell between a parent being angry-scared at someone else and a parent being angry _at them._ To a youngin', both of those states look the same, and both of them are scary.
@321scully4 жыл бұрын
When I was a child whenever I complained about anything it was always my fault and my problem and I learned not to tell them anything, and I didn't. When I was in junior school my friend's father sexually assaulted me and when I told her she just laughed, I didn't know that this man was raping all 4 of his daughters and as many little girls he could. He was a total preditor to little girls. Even now I don't normally speak about my troubles, I don't expect anybody to listen or care.

Unfortunately law enforcement really can't do much in those situations. But, the young woman can keep herself safe by changing her routine, shop on her day off for the week, shop early in the morning before work, go to a different store. It's up to us to stay out of harm's way, we can't rely on others to be there and willing to help. Too many people rather look the other way.

The only time I was able to go shopping when I worked for the factory was 9-10pm because I worked anywhere from 5am-8pm. Small towns usually dont have much options on what stores you go to either. I've lived in a town where the only store after 7 was Walmart and it was 2 hours to the closest other open store. And I've worked in towns where after 9-10pm the closest thing is 40 minutes to an hour away. Small town living sucks.
