The squad is average, but they’ve done better in the past and they’ve players to do it. I think Amorim is either too “soft” or just inexperienced. They need a drill sergeant or some sort. Also, the player’s payment structure doesn’t incentivize them to keep it up consistently. They should have a smaller base pay and bonus pay for performance, whatever the measurement of performance may be. They’re all multi-millionaires and just too comfortable to care about results, most of them. Just look at Casemiro, who went there to “retire” for more money. They’re better off looking for young and hungry talent… but not overpay in the process; just look at Yoro. Real is a good example of good recruiting IMO.
