Excellent review! RAGE to me is a bit like a 'Diet Cola' version of an RPG-shooter. Admittedly, I think it's a bit shallow with things like its story, quests, map, and the disappontingly-shallow card game it came with, but speeding around after bandits, decapitating the surprisingly-clever enemies with wingsticks, and giving sniper support to fellow settlers makes it a game worth playing at least once. Its multiplayer modes (the co-op and buggy racing/deathmatch) were good fun at the time, lots of high-octane battles to be had. Glad to see you had more fun with it than me when I replayed it for the umpteenth time after a long hiatus.
