I played this game for years, every day after school I'd log onto Ark and play with a group of friends i made on The island. We went everywhere. And thank god for all those good memories, because I'm not sure I could play this game without them in this state.

@@UmamiPapi So imagine Rust but you're able to take your char and resources to another server to raid. There are literal mega clans that spread across multiple servers and basically own servers (idk if its still possible but you were also able to block spawn locations with spikes) So instead of getting Zerged by 10 Chinese guys in a clan that has to grind for their boom on your server they can just come from anywhere and bring everything they got on their own server(s). (Also not sure of it's been patched, but you were also able to dupe items, hell I've even heard of friends who knew devs that just joined servers and spawned stuff in or even deleted other people's bases) There's a chance the server you're playing on is the next obj of a mega clan. They'll ddos your server, which kicks everyone out, and then they fill the entire server with their own players. At the point that I quit we were pretty big and in a mega clan, but the entire game changes at this point, from having fun with friends on one server to now having to deal with all the politics of alliances between megas, which is pretty difficult considering most mega clans are lead by a bunch of paranoid people with a superiority complex who want nothing more then war. So once you join a mega you're either gonna have to join their wars, risking your dinos that can sometimes take actual days to raise, you risk pissing off a mega that'll just wipe you for the slightest thing and if you don't fight you just get throw out of the allience and raided by your previous "allies." The whole game just basically turns into a political shitshow where you don't really care about the mega clans and they don't care about you either you're just a means to and end, more power. Kind of an analogy for real life and war now that I think about it...

Fun Therizinosaurus facts : Blake is correct, the Therizino is a herbivore, the big claws it uses are in fact super dexterous and are used in picking plants for berries and such. While it is not as hostile as some other animals and especially carnivores, it's still territorial and does aggro on you if you approach it too closely, like you found out yourself. Generally Therizinos are chill as long as you don't stumble directly into it and respect their space. They're probably THE best early game mount on par with the Triceratops (Trikes). They have huge healthpools, good damage, knockbacks, and are big enough that most smaller creatures like raptors and even Carnotauruses (basically a middle ground between a T rex and a Raptor) will generally leave you alone if you threaten them with the creature's threat/roar ability. And if it does get into a fight, reportedly it CAN even match up to wild T-rexes if it's leveled enough and the rider knows what they're doing. Don't forget the saddles give extra armor so you have some advantage over wild animals. PVP is a whole other beast when it comes to tames, but a Therizino is never a bad choice. Their perhaps biggest advantage over any other early game tame, and maybe even the entire roster of the base dinosaurs at least, is their ability to gather nearly every type of material barring metals and stones. From berries and trees and fiber to meat, skins and even some certain rare resources. It's generally a good idea to use tames for resources as certain beasts have much better gathering capabilities than your tools I believe. Therizino is damn good at most of em. It's an amazing versatile all rounder tame. There are more powerful combat tames, and certainly better specialized gatherers like beavers and the like for certain materials, but the Therizino does it all well enough as well. It's perfect for people who aren't super into the gathering various types of tames part of the game and just wanna get stuff done and explore without swapping mounts for tasks. If you wanna have ONE mount, that mount to me should be a Therizino. And I'm not even that much of a Therizino guy. I mainly collect aerial tames like Quetzals and Argentavises (that bird thing that player used to grab you at the end). But nobody doubts the usefulness of a Therizinosaurus.

Ark survival ascended does add some additions such as wild baby animals which you can 'adopt' and raise as your own, some additional berries, but one aspect is the map by default shows your current location and coordinates so compass and GPS are thrown out, also photo mode so the camera is also gone, hopefully these get replaced.
