Iqtidar got so much hype because of the chemistry and initial plot was good. Instead of creating a deeper connection and progression of the main leads, they're just showing surface level romance. They've completely ruined Shah's character with hardy any room for redemption. I had such high hopes for this drama. I just hope they can turn this around somehow.

They are showing romance instead of Mehru's comeback as strong fighter of her brother's accident. She is just defending her hubby from Amal whereas we want to see her justice journey.

Agree about Iqtadar, what's even the point of the last 2 episodes. Felt like Shahnawaz was a side character who just keeps repeating mujhe 'divorce chahiya, divorce chahiya'. Next episode seems the same. It was the Urooj and Zain show this week. And the romance that was hooking us seems over before it started, the scraps of romance that is there is toxic, most people want Mehru to dump Shahnawaz now.

I am happy with this twist in Duniya pur. I was hoping for this to happen otherwise both running away to save their lives from their families, would have been so typical and boring. Also the title of the drama would have made no sense if they had left Duniyapur. Nawab and his daughter are shown to be cunning and calculative, while Adam’s sons got into trouble due to their overly emotional nature. Both sons acted impulsively.

I was hoping Amnah would pick up on the ridiculous scene in Iqtidar where the friend takes Muskan to an expensive restaurant and says she has money but when the 13,000 rupee bill comes she says she only has 3,000… matlab kuch bhi? Even dhabas are more expensive these days. Just to create a scenario where where Zain Shah helps Mehru’s sister they created such a stupid situation so embarrassing to watch

THAT'S exactly my point. They don't have that much screen time or even properly written romantic scenes but the INFERNO they light up the screen with is SCORCHING HOT! There's something primitive and timeless about their chemistry, a silent wildness, a crackling certainty that THEY BELONG TOGETHER!

AIeJ: Will Rahim, the hero now turn into a villain for Aeman? ( as told in the promos). Rahim does not know about Aeman’s amnesia but the policeman must be knowing. Why didn’t he tell Rahim or take that into account during her statement? Rahim marrying Aeman for revenge is looking like a possible scenario now. Sheryaar’s performance in the jail scene with Aeman was so good. His lips were literally trembling with anger. 👍

@mahnoorqureshi3281 Seems like it's going that way but doesn't totally make sense as it goes against his character's nature. He knows his brother is the culprit, he should be keeping an eye on his 'mother' and figure that she is behind it all.

It feels good that people are finally waking up to Duniyapur. The show has its flaws (mostly technical) but it has been consistently very good with its story, cast's acting and dialogues. Regarding Nauroz Adam, I don't think he is dying in the next episode as there are still so many of his scenes left (were shown in the ost, trailers and teasers). I believe the funeral will be of the Aurangzeb &/or Shahbash. The dialogues will probably be said by Nauroz as instructions to Shahmir while Nauroz would surrender himself to the Nawab.

Spoke my heart out! Duniyapur, so far, has been the underdog project, after its initial few weeks of Green's attention. But given its fresh theme and characterizations, I had faith in this project to gather steam in the later episodes and thankfully its happening. Everything doesn't have to be too profound or philosophical. Duniyapur's USP is its pace and element of thrill and its delivering on both fronts tremendously. BRAVO!

@@mehreenmisbah9556 Yes, like you said, since the very beginning, the show has been very consistent in maintaining the pace it had set, and has also delivered consistently on the twists and turns that didnt feel forcefully added to the plot just for the heck of it. What has also always been commendable are the performances, the story (that got impacted at times due to poorly written screenplay, strange directional choices, very badly done editing etc...not something any "reviewer" ever touched upon) and dialogues (I mean some scenes and dialogues of Nauroz Adam, his mother, the Nawab and Nauroz Adam's interaction with Mir Hassan are so, so good. Again, not one reviewer picked on these). The SH team till now either did a very unwilling review of Duniyapur &/or got hung up on idiotic stuff that took attention away from the good stuff - I distinctly remember Aamna feeling "bewildered" by why Nauroz Adam forgave his daughter and brother and yet didnt do the same with Shamsher. I mean, as a "reviewer" this is what she got from the show??!!! One is his daughter, another one is his brother and the 3rd guy is his servant who killed Nayab. And Aamna still didnt understand why Shamsher wasnt forgiven?? Is this even credible? Another eg. - Bakhtawar's performance doesnt work for Aamna and she calls the character Meena Kumari sarcastically. She can do that, but what is extremely wrong and irresponsible on her part as a "reviewer" is to say incorrect things about the character. In the episode of Nimra's return, Aamna said Meena Kumari was being Meena Kumari, lying on a sofa while holding a book/mirror (I dont remember exactly which item Aamna mentioned), whereas one would have expected her to grieve but the mother was actually holding the daughter's photo frame (so it was clearly established the mother DID care for her children AND she was grieving...the very opposite of what Aamna was saying). In her biasedness against the character, Aamna didnt even feel the need to watch what was being show and pass such loose remarks. That epi had SO many good bits in terms of the story, the performances, the start of the leads' romantic interactions, yet none of those were touched upon. And dont even get me started on her opinions about how Ramsha should have portrayed her character's ruthlessness...she couldnt imagine any acting choice beyond Humaima's in Maula Jatt. To show ruthless, one doesnt always have to rely only on make up, obvious aggression in body language etc. The same can also be achieved via actions, dialogues etc. Ana's viciousness was always shown, one just had to pay attention to her actions and dialogues, which the "reviewers" never did. In the last episode, didnt Ramsha's same "soft" portrayal established how vicious her character is? Did she have to shed even a bit of her femininity to create the desired impact? In fact, isnt her softness/femininity making the betrayal so impactful??!!! The show took its time to let Ana and Shahmir come to the fore, and hence all their traits werent revealed initially (a very, very common practice is any form of story building). This was very, very evident from the writing, and yet as a "reviewer" Aamna didnt get this point and went on and on and on about Ramsha's underwhelming performance. Like, seriously??!! Hassan started taking interest only when Khushhal and Ramsha's characters started having romantic interactions. He really doesnt care about the show anything beyond this one thing because thats all/mostly what he talks about as his bits in the "reviews". While the romantic scenes are great, and the lead couple indeed have very terrific chemistry, but dont their performances merit to be seen and appreciated beyond the romantic bits? Is this what a "reviewer" does???. I have come back to Pakistani dramas after a long hiatus, so I tried to watch these "reviews" for some cultural perspective (I am an Indian so I am still learning many aspects of Pakistan's culture that aren't 100% clear to me, and these gaps in my understanding at times come in the way of fully understanding &/or appreciating plot points, scenes, dialogues etc) and I am left appalled by what is getting passed off as "reviews"! I mean at best these are exchange of opinions and at worst, these are vicious gossips! And these "reviews" are rampant! The kind of efforts these hosts are putting into trolling shows and actors (their own acquaintances, colleagues) is something! If a fraction of the same efforts were spent in putting across legit reviews, then they would have truly helped in creating more educated viewers. What they are now doing is helping build more and more internet troll who have no idea about cinema/show making yet will be the first to pass baseless, toxic judgements.

This is my opinion on MEEM SE MOMHABBAT: first of all I think the drama is super entertaining and fun to watch. It really lightens your mood. YOU CAN’T ALWAYS KEEP WATCHING SERIOUS DRAMAS. Even though I know MSM is not just comedy it is going to have a lot of layers to it and I think audience will get hooked to it. It’s also just been 4episodes I don’t know why AAMNA is judging the drama so negatively since the past few reviews. Now to Roshi’s character I don’t think it’s OTT at all. She is shown as a young carefree notorious girl due to a reason related to the story which we don’t know yet so don’t be so quick to judge the character. I think the bubbliness of the character is totally appropriate and I think Dananeer is doing a fantabulous job with her natural acting. Ahad is as usual doing a great job with his masterclass acting. Now to the chemistry between both talha and aayat I find it totally cute and sparkling especially since they have released the full OST I can’t wait to see how they fall in love and what all happens in this interesting dynamic of a pair. CAN’T WAIT FOR THEIR SCENES , also need more screen time with both of them! Also I don’t find the age gap weird bcoz they are just acting and there are people in real life that are married even though they have a hugeeee age gap sooo just focus on the love story no need to go soo deep into logic. So AAMNA I request you even though it’s your opinion still at least give MSM a chance bcoz it’s honestly going to be a great drama🤞🏼

I agree these two last episodes were pretty meh! High time Shahnawaz pulls his act together and decides what he wants to do!

I really like how Amna talks to Washma and makes her feel comfortable enough to share her opinions. She doesn’t talk to Washma the same way she does with Hassan and shows respect for the opinions of the younger generation.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Meem Se Mohabbat, Farhat Istiaque looks inspired by Haseena Moin trend in which a girl would be outstanding and bold. In the past, Neelofer Abbasi in Shehzori, Roohi Bano in Kiran Khani, Naheed Rafique in Uncle Urfi, Shehnaz Sheikh in Unkahi and Marina Khan in Tenhaniyaan but unfortunately Dananeer doesn’t act well character of Roshi. This character is going towards caricature. Flaws in Dananeer acting, she doesn’t portray the character very well at all.

You are absolutely right on that! That kind of fumbling clumsiness and innocence was easier to swallow many years back. But young people nowadays are much more aware. This character is so ott and annoying, couldn’t stomach it for more than a couple episodes.

AIEJ: Jamal admitted in public to an attempt to murder. How does he expect to be released unless Farooq pays his bail? It’s murder, not petty theft that he can come out that easily. What good will the 5 crores do if he languishes in jail forever? His mother wouldn’t even take the money.

Meem se mohabat: I get the sense that the team wanted to evoke feelings of nostalgia with this drama. The brief given to writer/director/actors was: let’s bring back the TV dramas of the 80s. The cute and light hearted plays that Hassena Moen used to write. Our hero and heroine belong to families who are well educated and well settled. The heroine is a young girl who has lived a sheltered and carefree life thanks to her stable and supportive family. We can predict she will become mature and reliable while maintaining her wonderful spirit. Our hero has experienced trauma that has made him cynical, depressed and mature beyond his years. We know he will healed. The two leads will fall in love and complete each other in a perfect union. The secondary characters are there to support and cheer this couple on. I am struggling to relate to it or enjoy this show. This would’ve been a far superior drama if it was actually set in the 80s. Or if the story had been updated to its current modern day times. As it is currently presented, this feels like a script written in the 80s but produced in modern times. A Ramadan play that is presented in prime time slot. A family fun drama that can be enjoyed once a week with nani ji, nana ji, dada ji, daddi ji, mommy, papa, khals, chacha and of course the gen z kids. Even if pause my brain and just try to watch it like I used to back in the day, product placement scenes jerk me right back. Dananeer may remind us of Marina Khan but she is not Sania from Tanhaiyan. Ahad may be the knight like Sheryar from Aroosa but we are used to seeing good looking men playing the misunderstood hero too many times. I rather rewatch Dhoop Kinarey or any of the fantastic shows than this.

AIJ: Maaheen!! OMG I can’t stomach that character, so very immature and whiny! Her scenes are pure fillers and useless.

Are you guys for real? Ramsha's expressions while shooting Khushhal's character were CLEARLY evident of her lack of eagerness. Aamna was right about that. Howcome Warshma didn't spot that? Seriously I miss Hasan. He would have definitely said something interesting about it.

Aye Ishq Junoon: draggggg Warshma gives a nice younger perspective, MashaAllah. Though I don’t think Warshma would get the Meena Kamari reference, she’s too young.
