@@cat-mh2wp but 4 legends playing with returnees is kind of dumb nowadays. There was no way the newbies would give the returnees a chance to play. As you can see Joe and Aubry were the bottom the whole game, and every tribal council a returning player received votes. I didn't like that they put them as captains because no one would let them play, as you can see, they didn't had so much of a chance.

David went really soft this season, he really didn’t need to change much from his previous game since he made it to final 4 and was one immunity challenge away from winning the whole thing, but he did unnecessarily. He didn’t take the early shot on Wentworth when he should’ve and voted out Chris who would’ve been a number for him and Devens for most of the game, ironically the complete reversal of saving Jessica with an idol and voting out Lucy and that turned out to be one of the best moves for his game. Played from the bottom for the rest of his time in this season and finished in 11th place.

Rachel Stackpole I was annoyed that it didn’t get harder in the post merge, there should’ve been an added level of difficulty to the edge where either there’s no food provided and you have to catch fish or scavenge if you want to eat, or if you want to get game related hide a flag or relic on the island everyday that progressively becomes more and more difficult to find each subsequent day and if no one finds it then someone has to leave the edge of extinction, either voluntarily or by vote of all the players on the edge.

It was not a bad season at all. However Chris coming up to win it all from absolutely nowhere pretty sure left a bitter tastes in everyone else's mouths. I thought it had a good cast with everybody in it to win it. Royally upset that my faves, Wentworth & Lauren were outplayed and eliminated but they played as hard as they could !

The Rick Devens of it all ruined it for some people too, myself included. It’s not him personally, but he’s like the poster boy for so many things that are flawed with Survivor - forcefeeding players idols, garbage comeback twists, forcing the audience to like a player through overwhelmingly positive edits, and bad production twists allowing poor social/strategic players to do better than they should. I’m sad he got so much hate because he played the game that was handed to him, I just happen to think it was a shitty game and the fact that both the edit and the jury propped it up so much made me like it even less

Gavin didn't come up with many plans or do anything fancy, but he made flipped when he thought it would help and didn't receive a vote against him. Only person to not receive a vote and 1 of two to not be voted out in his season. He was in the majority for all, but 1 vote. I don't think Gavin was a special player, but he had a great social game.

I legit loved EoE in the first episodes with Reem, it was so refreshing... but then a free machette appeared and it started to be more and more boring. after the merge it was just bad expect a couple great moments (basically everyone getting reem'd). the finale was imo an absolute disaster - not just because of EoE, but also because of way too many idols/advantages.

Lmao people like you shouldn't watch the show. That is an aspect of the game. To me personally, and underdog who has idols and wins immunities is better entertainment and better to watch on survivor than someone like Lauren or Vic because people say they were amazing somehow. Rick Devens FOUND the idols, they weren't given, he WON 4 immunities, as well as the challenge to get back in the game, and he had a really good social game, especially considering the cards he was dealt.

Say what you want about Chris winning, (I’m not a fan of the theme “Edge of Extinction” btw), but he really did play the best possible game he could in such little time. He flushed out Lauren’s idol with what I assume is a BS story about Wentworth on the edge. That caused Lauren to want to make a move to early. She played her idol wrong, was exposed at 5, and got voted out when Chris saved himself with his idol. He played the idol that Devins gave back to him correctly, which ultimately bit Devins in the ass in the end. Chris gave up immunity in the final 4 (never been done before) to beat Devins in fire making, to try to get more votes from the Jury. Like I said, I think the whole theme of “Edge of Extinction” is complete BS and unfair to the players that haven’t been voted out of the game. However, he did play a perfect game when he won his way back, after spending 28 days on the Edge, (not to mention in just those 3 tribals he already made a better case for the million then Julie did all game). I don’t believe he is the most undeserving winner of all time. I think there are plenty other survivors who would take that title from him.

Chris is given a lot of hell for only being in the game for like 8 days, but he played the game as hard as he could when he returned, Gavin just sat there, going with the flow, not making any moves at all. “But Gavin didn’t receive any votes for the 39 days he spent on the island!!!” - yes, because he wasn’t a threat, he and Julie was dead, useless meat, that anyone could take to the end and win against. Like Wendell said, you might not like the EOE, but that’s the format you’re playing with, so it’s about what you do with the format and rules that you’re given. Chris did everything in his power to succeed with the format and play as hard as possible once he returned.

okay maybe this is a bit of a spicy take but if theres no edge challenge at final 6 this is a top tier newbie season. Maybe its just me but the character moments we got were awesome, we got one of the best storytellers of all time with devens and if chris doesn't come back into the game im guessing final 3 has victoria devens and probably gavin still which would have been so interesting to see. Taylor Paulic I never said that I hated Chris. To me, a winner shouldn’t be voted out 3rd and still can get in the game at final 6 with the knowledge of the other players information. They handed Chris basically an immunity idol. But to be fair he gave his all in the remaining days were left. He was the best possible winner of the final 3 and that says alot.

This season was... Alright. Definitely not on the level of HvV, Micronesia, or DvG, but still an enjoyable time due to the live tribals and amazing force that was Rick Devens. Not to mention one of the most ballsy moves I've ever seen in recent history in Chris giving up his Necklace. Pre-merge was pretty standard, up until the end of it. The merge was ok, but that post-merge was an absolute fireworks display. Rick was by far the most deserving winner, and Lauren and Gavin both losing did suck, but Chris played a merge's worth of game in 4 days, and saying he's the most undeserving winner ever is simply wrong. Also the fake idols at the end were the definition of pure entertainment value. 6.5 or 7/10, not Great, but not bad. The definition of a season that's a little above average

Don’t get why everyone’s mad about it being Chris. He built bonds and relationships in Extinction, won his way back. Was able to pull out some power moves with the Devins.
