As a 57 year old fan, I can't thank Bruce enough for getting in the way back machine and once again going old school. I was a huge fan of masked wrestlers back in the day and I knew exactly what he was talking about when one would get unmasked and you'd be watching asking yourself, "who the hell is that"? I considered myself a fairly smart mark, but I remember being amazed when I found out that Demolition Ax was the Masked Superstar, who had always been one of my favorite wrestlers!

Just an idea for a new topic; referees. I think there's a world of things Conrad and Bruce could talk about when it comes to the third man in the ring.

I'd love to hear stories about one of the best wrestling refs that never get talked about, Dick Woehrle. He officiated matches for both the WWF and Crocket in the PA area.

Really enjoyed this episode loved masked wrestlers since I was a kid really surprised the Assassins weren't mentioned but WCW from 89 to 90 had masked wrestlers crawling out of the woodwork Thunderfoot The Raider The Enforcer The Bounty Hunter The Ding Dongs (good grief) The Russian Assassins The Galaxians and who could ever forget the legendary tag team of Cruel Connection 1 and 2 lol

You can tell how much Bruce loved the business when he was young just on the reverance he gives the talents and the old legends. Bruce enjoys telling these old stories and reliving the memories. Its a pleasure to listen to him

Really enjoyed this episode. Grew up watching many of the same masked wrestlers that were featured in said episode. Especially like The Spoiler. Remember watching him in 84/85 on Maple Leaf wrestling on CBC channel 9 Windsor/Detroit.

I remember watching Spoiler #1(Don Jardine) when he first came to the North Side Colosseum in Fort Worth Texas in 1968.First Wressler I saw in person wearing some of the most "stunning masks" before Mil Mascaras came along....😲👍

My first exposure to wrestling was the Roy Shires Bay Area territory, and I remember 2 heels getting turning face when they lost their masks, One was Texas Red, who was Red Bastien, and the other was Mr. X, who was British wrestler Ted Heath.

the masked superstar was over big time as a heel when feuded with backlund in the fall of 1983 . He was almost picked to beat backlund and drop the title to hogan on january 23rd 1984 but they went with the iron sheik which you cant argue with he was the perfect guy to drop the belt to hogan

In PR in WWC there was one called Pulgarcito and his “cousin” Pedro Ponce.. same deal of Dusty coming back in a mask, in WWC they made a really bad editing with both in tv talking to each other… so bad but so bad… that people just went with it because it was horrible… 😂😂😂

Been watching a ton of 1982 WCCW lately on the network and the Spoiler seems lame as hell, to me. Many reasons, but the fact that he was using the Claw as a finish whole Fritz, Kevin and Kerry were using it, seemed really weird.
