Sometimes Disability Parenting is Sad. And Here is Why.

As a professional who has worked with kids on the severe end of the spectrum For forty plus years, we see you and your kids. We see your children for who they are, differently than their parents do because we have a different role in their lives. I dont just see the disability, the kids are my safest place. I do not wish this life on any child or family but i love austism in tHe children who are here with it. I love knowing what to do to help them learn and maneuver their ways through life.

Girl I wish you lived close to me, I live in Michigan, otherwise I'd come play all day with all the Fisher Price toys!!! That's a cool hobby to have...love it❤ also I wanted to mention that I am 100% with you on the IEP meetings, and having to not only sit into the meetings hearing all that my son cannot do, then they give you a copy of the report that lays it all out on paper re-living it all over again...it's very painful and sad😢 I care about everything you say, every single one of your videos are amazing....they give me so much hope. They make me smile and laugh...I look forward to them. Never stop being so amazing girl!!!

Do they celebrate his anxiety? Do they celebrate frustration? How about his physical symptoms and picking and chapped face? Do they celebrate his siblings ' pain when they realize Cooper 's pain? How in the heck? Just forget the parent's happiness or sadness - how about his? And if any child suffers, THAT is SAD!
