Yeah but he had off the court issues, grew up around the same circles and he had the talent but couldn’t let go the company he kept. That’s the main reason a lot of dudes from Phx not in the NBA or NFL

When I was a sophomore in high school, one of my friends at the time was bragging about about jahi an how he was this freshman who made varsity and we had to see him play, we went to desert vista high and he was going to mt pointe at the time an anyone from from the metro phx area will tell you desert vista n mt pointe have a rivalry, the ahwatukee bowl lol, so seein him play in that game was a big deal

this is part of the reason ppl ihave a prob with the bronny situation. theres SO MANY players who shouldve at least had an opportunity to prove themselves in the league and bronny aint one
@PhiloFery2 ай бұрын
You forget billion dollar American buisness cannot survive on fairness and morals. And as an entertainment company, not a basketball one, the NBA will do what it needs to do for ratings and story lines. People forget that part of why Bronny was drafted. You don't just pass up having one of your top 5 players ever sharing a court with his son, and you bet your ass they'll be getting Bryce too lol. But to be frank the nba is way too small for every player who deserves to play to be in it, the 55th pick in the draft goes to literally anyone lucky to be that pick cause it's too low to predict much else.
@ogralphbeats40352 ай бұрын
@@PhiloFery you forget that it was high level basketball that put them in the position to make the billions from the storylines

@@ogralphbeats4035 buisness is business, plus I bet you can't remember the last 3 55th picks in the draft, they probably aren't even in the Leauge so I wouldn't consider that a high level basketball draft position.
@ogralphbeats40352 ай бұрын
@@PhiloFery doesnt matter if i can name 55th picks. I CAN name hella players who accomplished much more than bronny and never got a fair shot. keep in mind theres levels to "shots." some players, like carson, never get a shot based on what they CAN do, the get denied bc of their flaws. example: how many european players in the league cant defend, cant take anyone off the dribble, cant rebound and STILL stay in the league for years and not be criticized relentlessly?
@TheGoatedOne4232 ай бұрын
Bro was one of the best hoopers we had in Phx but like majority of the big time high school ballers football basketball etc always fell short due to off court things and not really being locked in to playing professionally… didn’t know him personally but played in open gyms with dude a few times growing up and knew a few folks from his circle. Dude had all the talent and it’s unfortunate he didn’t make the league. Didn’t have the best influences around him either
@johndavis93212 ай бұрын
Yup I think ultimately that scoring guard thing hurt him a bit like if your gonna be that small and lean towards scoring you at least gotta put up 22-23 ppg to get NBA teams takin you serious I mean look at trae young even tho he is considered more of like a traditional PG he averaged 27 ppg in college and even added damn near 9 assists
