I think I'm honorably the first to view this very fine and quintessential 1920s song! What a great roll. Love this song. A weird sidenote, numbers catch my attention (sometimes) and its super cool that this roll number is 1234! I'm sure your friend is delighted with this post. 😀

I am so glad you like it! Thanks for commenting :) I think it's a great roll too. And believe me, I get a kick out of those number things as well!

Such an amazing piece! So straightforward yet so catchy, and on some parts, has you on your toes for guessing what comes next note-by-note. (reading @SevenPlus65's comment and seeing description) That's really lucky to have a piece with a roll number of 1234! AMAZING job at finding this for us all to hear with you and your friend!

So kind of you to comment! I'm glad you like it! I agree totally on your description. By the way, I would like your opinion on something...I am planning to post one video every day for the next 3 weeks or so. Do you think that is an okay pace or is it too many / too overwhelming?
@peternewseterforever4 ай бұрын
@@rowanbelt3612 If your schedule fits your plans, do whatever you want. The only overwhelming thing is if YOU can't handle it. Despite the fact that not that many people will be able to catch up to you, they can watch it later, when they're free. If you're really asking for my opinion, I prefer to post every *2 days* or so to get the perfect audience.

@@peternewseterforever I really appreciate that honest feedback. It wouldn't be overwhelming for me because I already have all these videos recorded and just have to post them, but I will try to spread out the schedule a little as you suggested. If I have two or three related rolls, I'll do one each day and then have a gap before and after. Thanks so much my friend.

A great tune. Benny Goodman's arrangement was the first one I heard and it's by far my favorite (mostly because it's slower, have you tried singing it at this tempo? It's a tongue twister xDDD). Your expression is perfect when it comes through! This roll is fantastic, I believe it's a Cook arrangement.

@@PiotrBarcz Have you heard the Sissle and Blake version? It's a great one. Personally, I think it's comfortable to sing at this tempo, but that's just me. Thank you for your kind compliment! To be honest with you, I don't think this is Cook at all. Vern Elliott was a prolific arranger for Aeolian and his style is quite different. Notice, for example, that there is not a single syncopated note in the whole arrangement.

@@rowanbelt3612 I've heard of Sissle & Blake but haven't heard that version of the tune. Also my bad on the Cook assumption, I believe I'm losing my mind AND going blind because the arranger's name is right on the title of the video and I totally forgot it was there for some reason xD
@rowanbelt36124 ай бұрын
@@PiotrBarcz Haha no worries. I see how it could be possible that the way I titled the video might have made it look like Elliott composed it.

@@rowanbelt3612 Yeah no I knew who composed to the tune long ago. I'm just surprised I made such a massive oversight.
