Thx, I just bought a GB150 to carry in my Tesla Model Y 23LR to boot the car computer (via a jump) if the 16V LiPo dies or to jump Petrol cats if they need help.

Thank you for that that was helpful. These tools are amazing and I'm replacing one of the older ones just like you did I wish they kept the voltage indicator but I'm still happy with both of them. Takes a lot of juice to turn over a pickup with two big batteries so I'm happy to have that back up. They're only good for a couple jumps on a really dead battery but that's all you need so it's worth buying in my opinion.

I’ve had both and I prefer the 150 also. I get one or two jump out of the 155 150 I could start 10 or 15 cars on charge

The gbx puts out 14volts when jumping. It auto shuts off because when you use it longer than that you start to damage the the jumper. It's not ment to charge a battery.

I enjoyed your review and comparison...Noco should make a new GBX155 or similar with the digital readout, because I love that feature as well. I guess there is pros & cons of everything. Obviously, your 5-year-old unit is getting tired and has less power. I know from watching other videos (Tony Childs video titled "What happened to the Noco GB 150 4000A jump starter" video. He mentions that he did research because he heard that Noco changed the labeling on Noco GB150 4000A to the new version of GB150 3000A because the UL listing on Noco forced them to change the labeling to 3000A for whatever reason. He mentions everything stayed exactly the same on the newer Noco GB150 3000A in comparison to the Noco GB150 4000A. even the price. The only difference is the 4000A rating changed to 3000A rating (labeling was the only change). So, in other words Noco didn't discontinue the GB150 4000A model, they just relabeled it to say 3000A, according to other videos. So, I don't know for a fact, but mechanics and other videos mention the change of labeling. Keep up the good vids

You didn't hit the boost button on the 150 when you tried to start the truck.
@opasgarage442327 күн бұрын
The jump pack automatically goes into boost mode when it's hooked to a battery and turned on, unless the battery is completely dead. Only then do you need to push and hold the boost button, because the jump pack doesn't register any voltage and doesn't recognize that it is hooked to a battery.

Personally I disagree. The fast charge on my Boost X was the selling point for me. Both good units though.

Fun fact … the GB150 was always 3000 rating … the first batch had the 4000 written but was incorrect 👍🏼 I have the early ones which say 4000😇👍🏼 but the later ones say 3000 on them…the GBX250+ is a beast and has the display, no idea why they removed that feature on the GBX 155 🤦… nice review
