I think a series that explains how to play killers to higher, more skillful degree could be good. Not just the more tryhard strategies, but the utilization of their powers too. For randomizers, I think it could be good to try and get value out of perks while still trying to win a bit, but not to a tryhard degree.

Thanks for helping to guide me along the learning curve. Glad to see you alive :)

I've always assumed the times boil over feels weak is because they aren't waiting for the great wiggle checks. To answer your question, I may not be a consistent viewer of you channel, but I can tell you I'd rather watch someone having fun. If you have fun sweating, great, if you'd rather goof off, that's fine too. Having a survivor slam a fake pallet down on your head NEVER gets old.

Really happy to see another randomiser, love these videos! Also, your video series idea of explaining how to play different killers is a great idea, I want to experiment with new killers but i'm always worried about learning them.
@iljaxox5268 ай бұрын
I find it fun that you kinda go by mood or feel tbh. It keeps it interesting not knowing what you’ll do, if you goof around ee get fun commentary and when you play more strategically you also educate. It’s a great balance imo keeping it fresh.
@nocturn0510 ай бұрын
I think what would be a really cool series is trying to make the best build for every individual killer/whatever playstyle youre using, and trying to win with the build. This would also be good because a new one would come out with each new release So, if youre ever in a play-to-win mood, you could do that and still make it an interesting video
@billsmith-jr5zv10 ай бұрын

@jrackon387610 ай бұрын
I gotta say that seeing both is really interesting. Playing to win shows us what someone with your amount of experience and mindset would do, although it’s what a lot of other DBD streamers do so I think the general opinion might be more towards the fun stuff. Personally, I like both play styles and seeing you goof off gives me a good laugh while seeing you sweat makes me excited and hyped about it (especially against sweaty swf players lol). Whatever you feel like doing I’ll be happy to watch

I am all here for the horsing around in matches. We all know you are good at this game and have some crazy clips, knowledge, and time. So winning isn't everything and you're having fun which is much more entertaining. But the tutorial, or explanations would be really cool too even for more experienced players to cross reference or see if you know something they don't.
@riley496410 ай бұрын
I think one of the reasons boil over can feel so different is because of the wiggle skill checks. If you hit great wiggle skill checks, it moves the killer’s body more than hitting the good ones, so I think it depends on how good the survivor is at hitting the skill checks
@TheRussianTaco3210 ай бұрын
A seperate series would be solid but for randomizers, you dont have to always play to win but its much more fun when you actively make smart choices during you match

Randomizer is definitely a fuck around video. When you improve yourself in a killer you wanna main, then play to win
@floofzykitty507210 ай бұрын
After the new wiggle changes whether the struggling moves you left or right is no longer random so you can use Boil Over to your advantage. After the first wiggle you know which direction it will push you next, so if the first one is left then you turn so that your right side is strafing towards the direction you want to go.

Windows used to only show real pallets and show no aura for fake pallets, but it was changed to show fake pallet's auras the same as real ones. For the same reason that perks like Small Game no longer trigger on killer power aspects (traps, fake pallets etc.).
@zoey270710 ай бұрын
first of all: windows does not show a difference between real and fake pallets! second: I don't think i care that much if you try to win or just have fun and play "fair" in your randomizer build videos - probably also depends on the match and how the survs play it (I notice myself playing different, depending on how survs play) third: a series on how to play with certain killers more efficient would be pretty nice c: I'd enjoy that a lot! also thank you for all the nice streams and videos Mr Tofu, they are really enjoyable! also the mix of pubs, 1v1s and scrims is a mix that I've come to enjoy more than having just one or two of those looking forward to whatever else you might create!

I agree with you, randomizer videos you're putting yourself at a considerable disadvantage so try as hard as you feel like. One of the main reasons I started watching DBD content was to learn, so other videos with commentary during gameplay would be awesome. @iamthesivart10 ай бұрын
Nice to see another randomizer Tofu, these are probably my favorite kind of videos/content from you. I would say in the case of try harding or not that it would kinda depend on the build and killer. It might be interesting to watch you play with a handicap and still pull out a win but I enjoy your content because you are generally so relaxed and dont sweat. It is a big reason as to why I watch your videos. I'd say if you get a strong killer with decent perks then maybe relax a bit if its still early on. I dont really want to watch a game that you get a 4 man slug at 5 gens while being Nurse. Pick up your down or maybe only slug one extra guy just to create pressure and then pick up so the game can keep going and the survivors maybe get a bit of a comeback/have a chance. However if you end up with Trapper with his meme addon and there is only 1 gen left in the match, then I wont really blame you for doing the "correct" play of hovering around the hook to force another hook state/kill/trade/whatever. Also this is kind of a side note but I remember you made various videos in the past of trying Iri addons (Or perks) and just seeing if you could get actual value out of them. I think I'd enjoy seeing those again. Going for something kinda fun like having a build centered around stealth Deathslinger or skillcheck/scream Doctor or 'Tier 4' Myers etc etc could make for a good video that I'd enjoy. Best of luck with future videos and I hope the response helped even a little bit. (I also hope your shoulder has healed well, I generally only follow on YT so I can't remember just how long ago that was.)

To answer the questions: Trying hard is great from my perspective as long as its nothing like Blight + 4 gen regression perks in public matches. Definitely worth seeing and hearing thought process on average and below average killers. Idea of a Try Hard set of videos with different killers sounds awesome! Singularity, Artist, Xeno, are all killers I am curious behind the thought process of. Wesker, Blight, etc. are less interesting in a non-comp settings with Try Hard mindset. Just my two cents.
@Valor610 ай бұрын
Honestly, follow your mood! A separate series would be pretty great - then we know what we're getting into when we tune into a specific series. Tryhard Tofu or Teehee Tofu. For Randomizer? I definitely come here for more Teehee Tofu, but I'd totally be up for you talking about how you'd handle using such terrible perks in order to sweat out a win.

Windows makes fake pallets look the same as the normal pallets but only when in dream world
@Akmoon10 ай бұрын
Honestly it be nice to see some videos that yes lean for a bit more try but the try is more due to having to showcase some aspect either brought on by the load out or specific killer. Like sometimes you get to have teachable moments in randomizer due to it accidentally becomes a showcase for a perk or add on as it becomes the clutch aspect of an otherwise meh loadout. One sometimes finds sleeper hits via randomness. Outside of randomizer I think having a set of 'hear me out why I'm doing what I'm doing in this match' also would bring some level of teachable moments.
@frauzockinsky10 ай бұрын
Aura colors override each other. Maybe there is even a priority system with some thought behind it, who knows. Freddy with genshin tactics sees the aura of his fake palletes in white, bc he does so even without the perk. For survivors with windows of opportunity, all palletes have a yellow aura, including fake ones from freddy and doc (bc the perk is not supposed to differentiate between fake and real palletes). I use deja vu a lot and the 3 deja vu generators are always red, even when the killer kicked one with trail of torment, even though that would be the more useful information in that situation. So I dont know. Probably they just apply yellow first and that gets overriden with white or red bc those colors get applied after.
