I so love to watch vloggers who have great love for their dogs, cats, and other animals - being an animal lover myself who feed stray cats and dogs as well as rescuing helpless kittens and cats. In my experience, animals have genuine love for their carers. I have my 9-year old girl-dog, Porsche, and my 15 rescued cats. I spend a lot for their food and cat litter, but GOD provides. I also love nature - the trees, etc. All these are GOD-given creation.💜

About a month ago or so I told you I tried teach my dachshund Rolo to the Nala stomp but couldn't well he turned 15 years old at the end of May his health started to decline we had to make hard decisions to put him down on the 22nd of June it was really sad cause he loved going camping with us for the first time we went camping with no Rolo I just balled my brains out when we got to our camp site. But watching you and Nala helps me .

I think the main thing is, that you enjoy life together and go out to nature and enjoy. No need to be perfect every single time. One step is better than no step! Good job moving the goal post when you realized that it was too snowy to make it all the way up. Especially since the sun set before you made it back to your car, definitely a wise decision to turn around. I really enjoy your posts, Chris. I'm living vicariously through you! I had 8 dogs over 25 years, and 5 of them were Golden Retrievers.... I see so much of them, and in particular, my Harley, in Nala with the sock obsession and swimming (oh, and the whoo-hooing!😅), another (Haylie) was completely obsessed with tennis balls, and she too would find them in random places when camping or walking on the levee. She would gather a number of them around her, nesting-hoarder-like, in her dog bed...😅she was so funny. We are dogless for now, our last passed in October. Watching your videos, briings, joy, laughter, and some tears... but tears of the love I felt for mine who were all loved so much and missed equally so. My best to you and Nala! Laura

Turning back at these conditions is not a failure. Considering the short duration of daylight left I would probably have turned back sooner, just to be safe. You reached a super scenic spot and had an awesome view. Pitty actually you didn't really have much time to linger and enjoy. I don't think you missed out on anything by not going all the way to the top. Thanks for sharing this after all. I miss being in the mountains in the snowy season. I haven't been able to go and we haven't had much snow in several years anyways. So, it's really nice to see you and Nala enjoying snow and mountains together.

I get an anxiety attack. I’ve hiked many of the trails When I moved to UT 10 yrs ago… But not like the one you’re on.

WOW that was One Spectacular feet of hiking!!! The views were absolutely amazing & Beautiful. Words can't begin to express the appreciation and OMG the risk you and baby Nala took to make this hike & video. Of course it was fun & exhilarating to say the least. Thank God you work out and thank God for the muscular legs, when you said your legs were burning i can't imagine the strain & pain. Again thank God your fit. It would have been possibly harder much more dangerous for a unfit individual. But thank you for a most wonderful and beautiful video, Very Grateful and so glad you two got home safely... next time 2 sets of gloves, one for Nala to have fun running away with, and one pair to protect your hands... I put this video on while taking a long afternoon nap in a quiet room - I had the most lovely pleasant dreams because of the quietness of the video. It was like once you weren't able to hear the cars anymore, the snow creates this muffled sound that is so calming. That was when I drifted off into a dream where I was experiencing everything you were experiencing... Walking through the most beautiful snowy passes toward a view that was second to none... This was special to me because I am confined to a wheelchair - so I would never have been able to experience this in real life... Your video brought a beautiful experience to life for me 🥲🙏🥺 Please never stop these longer form videos... Even when I'm not dreaming, watching these truly gives me such a calm feeling of being connected to pure innocent joy. Just being one with nature, and that's enough. Its so incredibly healing for so many of us who overwhelmed in today's day and age 🙏

At about 12:15 Napa looks a little tuckered out, but she trudges on as long as you keep going. What a devoted girl she is! I love how she immediately rushed back to check on you when you slip and do a face plant . I also love how earlier, she pushed past you when you paused to squeeze thru a tight spot. Nala's confidence on these hikes is really great to watch. Some of those drops look a little concerning but it's like she knows where to go and where not to go :D And of course you've trained her so well to stay near you. Stunning views in this video! I can't imagine what it was like seeing that in person. You did awesome on this hike, man, congrats! (I actually really love the shot at 17:34 lol. I bet it wasn't fun to walk through but that's such an atmospheric and cool shot!)

The drops definitely look scarier on camera haha! But like you said she knows what she's doing and we've done this trail a few times so I keep a closer watch on her at the sketchy sections. I do admittedly get a little more nervous in the winter because sometimes the snow creates these edges that are a bit more unstable, but we were okay where we were at the end! Walking back in the dark with the snowfall was wild haha. Actually kept me on my toes and more alert. Definitely cool to see.
