Sounds like the beginning of a PBS documentary

Thank you! The PBS/documentary vibe is very near and dear to my heart. A lot of the music I heard on that channel as a kid really resonated with me (especially Johnny Costa's playing on Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood).

nice ambient soundscape, with an elaborate, spacious vibe. since no particular voice seems to be in focus, every voice can be of importance, like visiting a room and enjoying the various decorations at will. every voice contributes to an overall impression and aesthetic without insinuating a specific plot. the JI tuning does not seem to be the forefront of the music, but probably contributes to the general "isness" of the piece. most of the differentiation and progression seems timbral rather than harmonic/melodic. this is the first i'm hearing of halion7, there are a lot of good sounds here. cool visuals too!

I have the sort of brain that tends to have a few thoughts going on simultaneously, so I write music that contains a bunch of simultaneous lines. One of the things I like about JI is that you can explore a lot of interesting interval flavors, but you don't get that in-your-face weirdness of some of the EDOs (although that can be fun too). It does lend some accessibility for those who haven't yet been xenharmonically initiated.
