You sir are a lifesaver. I've had my door for a few years now and I opened it today but it wouldn't close fully. I tried loads of things and was getting really frustrated, particularly as all other videos had press button end limits. This was spot on and helped me so much.

This is a super clear video, I wish I found it sooner! I just installed the curtain before finding your video, my motor won't roll the door all the way down. I didn't roll the motor to the lowest position before installing the curtain. Would you say I need to remove the curtain and roll the motor down? Thanks!
@dinlo257 күн бұрын
@@jonnybonny4193 hi there, yes you would, that would be the easiest step. Unhook the curtain, roll the motor all the way down, reconnect the curtain. Then, adjust the up direction as in the video :) best of luck!

One other question. Do you know what options there are for making the Somfy system smart/app connected?
@dinlo257 күн бұрын
@@jonnybonny4193 sure. Somfy do their own kit called the Tahoma system (you can google it) Or if you prefer, there are many aftermarket systems available on Amazon that you can use. Whatever you choose should be a two wire connection (not three wire). It has a small wire kind of like a car speaker wire or doorbell wire, which will plug in to your circuit board slots 10 and 11 under the cover of your control board. Super easy to install, just plug in and stick the sensor to the door leg using the supplied sticky tape… done 👍

In the process of purchasing a roller door online. It comes with a simple panel with a wired safety edge. Would you recommend I upgrade the panel to a somfy rolloxio with wireless safety edge? Also I'd prefer a wired safety edge due to batteries which I'm not keen on. Can the wired edge be reto fitted later? Thanks again
@CarlHughes-dk5fq10 ай бұрын
Hi there, apologies for the slow response. Yes, the Somfy wireless kit can be fitted later on if required- However due to the cost (it can come to around £650 fitted!) I would only recommend you consider it if you experience problems with your current safety device. You do get what you pay for with Somfy- The Somfy wireless safety edge has a very clever system that allows it to quickly go to sleep and save battery. You can comfortably get around 3-5 years out of the batteries with regular everyday use I’m not affiliated with Somfy in any way, but having worked with a lot of different brands these were certainly the best to work with in my opinion Best, Carl

Hello, I would like to add a module to this gate door so that I can control all the other motors on a single remote control. Could you tell me what I need? Thank you
@dinlo252 ай бұрын
@@Titus-w9tr Hi there, I’m assuming you mean you have multiple garage doors, which means you don’t need any additional modules to use one remote across all of your doors. I’m guessing you have a Somfy remote with one big central button and three small buttons along the bottom. Press and hold the program button on the receiver panel until the red light comes on solid, then press and hold the button you want to program on the remote until the red light on the receiver flashes then goes out. If you make a mistake simply repeat the same process to delete that button. If you have a different remote or set up than the one I’m describing, please don’t hesitate to get in touch 😊

@@dinlo25 Thank you for your quick response. I actually have a gray remote with a large central button and three small buttons at the bottom. Sorry, I expressed myself badly, I will try to be clearer, more precise and detail my problem a little better. I have three gates at home. -A Somfy Rollixo io garage door with remote control -A Camé brand gate motor and a Proteco brand garage door motor with remote control that I use for the latter two and that I programmed myself. I would like to have only one remote control, but I don't know how to program the Somfy remote control with the other two motors or vice versa. The seller on the Somfy portal had mentioned some sort of part that I needed to add in order to be able to program all the motors on a single remote control. Would you know what he was talking about or tell me how I can do this? THANKS
@dinlo252 ай бұрын
@@Titus-w9tr I’m not quite as good at gates as I am with garage doors, however I might still be able to help. The salesman might have been talking about Somfy’s Tahoma system which harmonises all of their products. I think in this case the various remotes talk to the Tahoma module, which in turn talks to the various openers. Here’s a link: www.somfy.me/en-gc/products/1870600/tahoma-switch I’d talk to Somfy a bit more just to be sure this would do the trick. In the meantime, what do your gate opener remotes look like? Sometimes you can copy and paste codes directly between remotes without the need for a module. For this they need to be operating on the same frequency already- the little sticker on the back should say 868Mhz (I have a suspicion your older grey remotes are 462Mhz) Here’s an example of someone doing this, it may be possible with your version of remote depending on what they are m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpjLg2lpodZqiMU Hope this helps- what you’re trying to do is definitely possible, it’s just trying to narrow down the best solution
@Titus-w9tr2 ай бұрын
@@dinlo25 After checking, the remote control of my other two motors works at 433.92 MHz and the remote control of my Somfy motor should work on a frequency of 868 MHz, if I am not mistaken. As you told me, that's why I can't program them together. On a Somfy forum, I was told to install "An io compatible access receiver" I will try to do that. Sorry, I can't give you the link to the device because otherwise the comment will not appear or will be deleted.

How to solved the problem sir if the botton is Deadman mode
@dinlo25Ай бұрын
@@FerminLugtu11 Sorry for the slow the slow reply. Is the system the same as the one in this video (Somfy?) or is it another model? If you have a photocell it’s likely they’ve just been knocked out of alignment. You can generally bend the bracket that holds the lasers (very gently and with small movements) until both lights on top of the laser unit light up. This means it’s both sending and receiving a signal, and everything’s lined up correctly

@dinlo253 ай бұрын
@@MarkSteele-yn3bl Yes you need to do exactly that. I would pull the red connector with the staple from the old unit and place it into the new one to save fiddling with the screws. Please let me know if this solves your issue 😊 If you still have the box, the new staple would have been in the small clear packet alongside the cable gripper and screws. It’s easy to miss. I wouldn’t be quick to throw your old unit away as it’s quite pricey. It’s possible that it’s just in holiday mode which means the buttons are disabled. Any idea why my receiver unit up/down buttons are not working? All the buttons flashing red when pressed.... Its working fine from the remote's??
@dinlo25 Жыл бұрын
Hi Martin, The door is in “holiday mode”. To deactivate holiday mode, with the door in the closed position press and hold the stop button until the indicator lights flash rapidly for two seconds, then press the up button to see if it has worked. Holiday mode is usually activated by accident, as in your case, but it is a useful feature to stop curious children playing with the door. If this hasn’t worked don’t hesitate to reach out to me again 🙂
