whats your opinion on which is better? the SOMOgear seems to have a better IR illuminator over the FMA Lab one.

In my opinion, I choose the FMA as a slightly better option. the IR illuminator opens too little for my liking on the somogear. also if you open or close the focus it seems that it goes off center in Somogear. I think that Fma is a little above although the circle is not so clear in the video or makes a shadow

Somogear Specs according to them on their website Láser visible Output Power Low: ≤4.9mW Output Power High: ≤20mW Laser IR Output Power Low: ≤0.9mW Output Power High: ≤20mW Iluminador IR Output Power Low: ≤4.9mW Output Power High: ≤60mW FMA lab I was not able to find it but they announced it at the time

perhaps with small calibers there is no problem but it would be more convenient to consult the manufacturer. These are still Chinese replicas, they are not comparable in any case to the real thing

If I remember correctly in high visible power mode Somogear is more powerful but both are very similar. maybe somogear has also be less clean

that laser is pretty far off center from the illum on the somo. and the fma is missing a bunch of its beam

It's a flaw. They don't have enough adjustment in the illuminator to center it. The newest ones seem to have that fixed.

@@HypeBeast764 Their later built versions have better illuminator adjustment and quality of light. I believe they have also changed the switch plug from a 3.5MM to a Crane plug. They are making small changes, and improvements. I get the latest version on Thursday and can let you know more.

Just got a new somogear peq 15 and it’s much better than the 1st gen I purchased in 2022 . Running 5.56 14.5” I’ve put 600 rounds on the newer version no shifts and the it illuminator is a little bit wider. Solid thus far no problems

@@mtiger5 Can you please post a video? Only thing holding me up from getting on is how narrow the illuminator is on max FOV. Does it come with diffuser caps to spread the beam even more for indoor use?
