FMA LAB PEQ LA5-C, unboxing review, adjustable laser and light

purchase this today, and to me it is as real as you can get to the real thing, definitely the best looking PEQ toy box out there, one big issue though is that they only made IR strobe light at the moment.......

Croc walked me through and fixed my issues. The unit really is very nice, build quality is excellent! The click adjustments (like the real Insight) are like nothing else on the market right now. The lasers are the strongest available on airsoft clones. A title previously held by G&P. It feels virtually identical to the Insight PEQ 15. It even weighs the same as the original Insight. Why don’t I have the Insight? I don’t have 1600.00, and need the IR capabilities for my job (LE).

the best part of this unit is it accepts real SF remote switches. I am using this unit on my GBB HK416 with SF torch and double SF switches, it works pretty well. Too expensive but so fart the only knock off PEQ 15 that available in the market which is close to the real PEQ 15. Will FMA release them again? for the time being it cannot be found in any airsoft retailers or amazon or ebay and aliexpress.

I got one of these and I got somewhat dissapointed that they fucked up the flaslight (illuminator) do you know if there is a way to make it not strobe? I hate that I can't use the illuminator because it strobes...

I've got one of these recently, and my elevation & windage for lasers don't work properly, the lasers are way off to the right and can't be zeroed. I assume you didn't have such an issue? Did you have any problems with the laser adjustment?

Let me make myself clear: the laser DOES adjust, but the adjustment range is shifted way to the right, so I can't cowitness the laser with the holo sight, as well as withthe BUIS. I mean, even in the leftmost adjustment position, the laser dot is still to the right of the sight marks. And in the rightmost position, it is wayyyyy to the right. Sorry I'm bad at explaining, I'm going to make a video showcasing that.

I wish they had EXACT spec lasers, ie 50 mw IR (pointer) 100 mw Illuminator, and 50 mw Red laser. They have a 56 mw Illuminator and 26 mw pointer; I don’t see why they just don’t go ahead make the lasers to issue MILSPEC.

its about 180 usd, about the same as the g&p DBAL, G&P one has a better build outlook and also hace adjustable laser but if you are following some unit which only uses the peq15, this FMA one is still the best in terms of look and with adjustable, function laser, IR laser and IR light so........

@@BigCrocAirsoft I have both and the G&p is better in all ways, full adjustable, *advice that's can adjust for aim, so useless for use with NVG. Poor constructed, the damnit illuminator BLINk and can't adjust the diameter. its only a look like peq15 that cost 180 eu.. if only had reply te G&P ..

Yeah as Big Croc has said, it's only kind of 'worth it' if you can't use a DBAL. This new FMA version, as it appears, is a bit of a lottery - some people (myself included) are reporting issues with the laser adjustment, while others don't have this problem.

purchased and just received today a FMA LAB PEQ-15. I have a set of PVS-7D night vision goggles. When I select the “IR” settings on the selector dial to power the IR Laser and/or Illuminator, they power off after 15-30 seconds automatically and display a RED led light at the rear rather than the NORMAL green led rear indicator light. After that, I have to remove the battery and, then re-insert the battery to get the unit to work again. Also, from what I’ve read in the VERY SHORT manual, “DH” is supposed to “blink.” On the DH setting, there is NO blinking. There’s just constant on. The IR “AL” and “DL” (low power) settings do NOT work at all under any circumstances. Those 2 settings do not function. Thirdly, sometimes the Green LED is on when the switch is activated but there is NO laser emission on ANY setting. Once again, I have to remove and re-insert the battery to get it functioning again.

After careful examination, I tried another battery from a different batch/package of Energizer CR123s and every setting works EXCEPT the last setting (DH) where BOTH IR laser and IR Illuminator are on high power. When I turn to DH on the “selector”, both lasers come on HIGH power for about 5 seconds, then go out.

If they removed the “blinking” option; that would explain the absence of this feature. I know the real Insight PEQ 15 does have blinking/strobing in the exact same manner to differentiate the laser pointer and Illuminator being on target so you know which one to use to shoot with. I think it’s useful. They shouldn’t have removed it, but maybe established some sort of programming to toggle it on or off.

Too bad they didn’t set up some sort of switch combinations to toggle it on or off. It really is a useful feature in fast paced high stress CQB environments.

Does anyone else have their “green” indicator LED light turn “red” after a short while? What does the “Red” mean? I’ve changed the batteries twice, it’s not that.

Are you using rechargeable CR123 ? Sometimes the voltage drops even in freshly charge and it will not have enough juice to run it properly
