Do you know what is so great about that Andromeda - Perseus - Sea Monster reference? Mary insinuated that it was Matthew who was the Sea monster whom she was forced to marry, and that someone (Perseus) would save her. However, if you look at what actually happened, Mary was 'forced' to marry Carlisle to save the reputation of the family, but she was eventually saved by her Perseus - Matthew. Very clever writing by Julian Fellowes.

Of all the love stories that I've ever heard/read/seen nothing quite has a place in my mind as "I never would, I never could despise you." How terribly lucky would be those people if they've got someone who has such feelings for them. And it doesn't have to be be romantic love either.

I love how this story turns around in the show! First Matthew was the sea monster and someone else would be Perseus, and then at the end of the second season, it turns to being Carlisle as the sea monster and Matthew as Perseus! It's rather ironic! I love this video, it's beautiful! Mary and Matthew forever! :D

This video summarizes their story very well. At first, I really disliked Mary. She thought she was above her sisters, took advantage of people, and she seemed generally unkind. She deserved losing Matthew at the end of the 1st season. She needed to grow up and she did in series 2. At the end, I actually loved her. She was kind and caring to Lavinia and let herself to be punished for her mistakes. She took responsibility for her actions and became compassionate. Now, I think she deserves Matthew.

If I ever need to justify why I love them the way I do, I will use your video. You managed to include all their great scenes in such a clever way, with the (Also clever) voice overs to support your story. This video is storytelling and it has a narrative that it's really rare. It's not an easy thing to do. And you just highlights their beauty masterfully. Also, your coloring and edition is flawless. I'm amazed. Maybe it's the greatest MM video so far.

This is such a beautiful video. The voiceovers are perfect and it's a great music choice. I loved all of it, especially the "I haven't forgiven you.." part, and the "I want a brave man for you..", it just fitted so well with the scenes you chose. I also really loved (perhaps most of all), the part "would you stay if I asked you... would you have stayed if I had accepted you", how they mirror eachother, it's just perfect, and it's something I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. I couldn't agree with you more. I don't believe I'll be watching season 4, because I can't imagine Mary without Matthew, EVER. It feels as though Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy were ripped apart from one another. I realize it's fiction, but after two seasons of rooting for these two to have their happiness end so quickly and tragically really SUCKS.

omg this had me in tears from the very beginning. it was simply perfect, the way you told their whole story and used not only their voices but the voices of others who saw the love too. Probably the best M/M video ive ever seen. love the way you told their story about how they started off on the wrong foot but matthew loved her from the start, how she came to love him too. & now finally they got their happy ending Matthew is her prince, perseus. foresadowing at its finest. I really like how the voiceovers just tell the stories and how you included voiceovers from such a diversity of scenes and characters. You colored it well and paired the voiceovers and scenes to perfection. Downton Abbey has been my favorite show for a while now. The piece you made here was absolutely amazing.
