@Jay Scraggs If it was my dad I’d feel differently?? Smfh. Why do continue to make assumptions as to what I’d do, what forms my opinions, etc.? “Self-induced” psychosis is a *symptom* of a mental health issue, if he’s actually diagnosed with that. If this story is as it appears, the dad made it a public family matter when he put his face all over the internet/news. HIS actions brought the publicity and caused the reactions of his son. It seems as if you have more empathy for the father than you do the child, but I don’t want assume...so I’ll ask. Do you?

@Jay Scraggs In my opinion the fact that you value allegiance over actual morals means that, in reality, you value neither. Or is that you consider the dad’s alleged crime(s) permissible? If the dad killed children would it be ok to “sell him out” at that point? Where exactly do you draw the line? Or is there even a line to draw when you’re “loyal”?
@patrice942
@patrice942 3 жыл бұрын
Your " what is right" moral compass should be the ultimate decision-maker not allegiance to an ideology, person, family, or movement. This should also be based on the " right" moral compass and the right religious teachings. If you are bringing down another group of people just to raise yourself up, control, subvert, or feel superior to others THEN you should know you are on the wrong path and have the wrong beliefs. We do not choose our family BUT we all chose who to follow, believe in, and our actions. Sometimes you are hurt or killed for those choices but that is the price of such choices. Just be sure you are on the side of good and whatever comes after this life, you know you will be fine and rest easy.

Obviously the man "believes" a lot of messed up things, but he raised a smart, honest, and very brave son, who had the intelligence and fortitude to do the right thing, even in the face of bringing down his father and mentor - no doubt the hardest thing he's ever had to do. Thank you Jackson, for being so courageous to do the right thing. I pray that your father, one day will feel as proud as those people who learned, and appreciated your hard decision to turn father in. My advice to you is, never feel guilty or bad about DOING THE RIGHT THING. Because the character of a person is defined by his or her actions. That is a statement I would not think to hear when it comes to our politics. Domestic abuse. Sexual abuse. Those are the events I would connect reporting a family member to the authorities for. But to report on a family member because they have been fed lies and fear at an astronomical rate to a point where they unquestioning join in an insurrection in order to feed one man's ego, it is, for lack of a better term, mind boggling.

The father would have shot the family or some members at least. You don’t threaten to kill unless you’re deranged enough already, which means he would have actually killed if triggered enough. The father was prepared to kill and die for Trump. The mistake the son made was to think his father wouldn’t kill his own family despite the direct verbal threat to do just that. Never should you take a threat to kill as a joke or something they wouldn’t do, you need to already be deranged to make that threat, which is deranged enough to carry it out. Cultists in all sorts of cults will and do kill their own family. Thankfully the son correctly worried about others his father would definitely kill, including police. And that worry for other is what likely saved the life of family members. Had the son not spoken out from concern for the life of others, the lives of the family were themselves naively in grave danger. This is the same as when women don’t leave a violent husband who makes direct verbal threats to kill her or the kids. If she doesn’t believe the threat the husband made to kill her or the kids, she will stay if she also doesn’t believe he will kill others, and then he ends up doing both. But if she believes he will not kill her or the kids but he would kill others, she will leave to save others she correctly believes are in danger, yet in doing so inadvertently also save herself and the kids who she naively thought were not at risk despite the actual verbal threats.

@CIA Imports He told his son that he'd shoot him. Who wouldn't he shoot? It's illegal to threaten someone in the United States. There's a reason for that.
@dsp6373
@dsp6373 3 жыл бұрын
@CIA Imports instill patriotism by threatening to kill his son and family? Is it not a crime to threaten to kill someone? That’s “patriotism” to you? Where’s your concern for law and order these days? Or was that always just lip service? And what on earth is your warped definition of patriotism? In addition to committing the crime of threatening to kill his son and family, the father also already had committed a crime against the United States, for which he now is charged. He didn’t get charged for “patriotism”. The son was actually patriotic by reporting his father who committed crimes against the USA and committed more crimes by threatening to kill those who would reveal his crimes against the USA. Define what “patriotism” is to you? Does patriotism in your definition include committing crimes against the USA (sedition and insurrection) and committing crimes against your own family (threatening to kill them)? That’s patriotism to you?
