According to Ligonier Ministries, "Christ" is indeed a title, not a name, and it translates to "anointed one" from the Greek word "christos" which is derived from the Hebrew "mashiach"; essentially signifying Jesus' role as the promised Messiah, prophet, priest, and king.

Can never understand God’s Greatness. The Son of the Living God. Jesus sits on the Throne at the Right Hand of God. The Apostles Creed. “ a still small voice”, guiding our footsteps - Holy Spirit. Jesus’ asks the father to send to us, through the indwelling of Jesus we ask, our mediator “into the Throne Room of God”. The late R.C. Sproul, “when it happens, you will know it”. Half brothers ? I can not believe my Lord and Saviour would ever ever refer to his brothers as his ‘half’ brothers!! Even God calls us his adopted sons - not His half adopted sons??
