Sona Jobarteh (kora, vocals), Eric Appapoulay (guitar), Andrew Mclean (bass), Yuval Wetzler (drums), Mouhamadou Sar (percussion)
Sora Jobarteh is a Gambian multi-instrumentalist singer and composter. She is from on of the five principal kora-playing griot families of West Africa, and is the first female professional kora player to come from a griot family.

Glad I had the privilege to see and hear her performance in the “DMV” , the Strathmore in Maryland, Sunday April 7th. This was my third concert featuring a Kora master going back to the 1980s. An amazing musician, storyteller, and activist. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
