The fragile environment is being destroyed by we ladakhis ourselves. Look around and all mountains are being flattened to make way for shops, buildings and hotels. Our mountain beds have made way for crushers extracting sand,and other raw materials for unregulated buildings coming up everywhere. Our sacred river the Indus is filled with garbage,empty bottles and wrappers. No save guard with 6 schedule from all this damage. Every household has more than five cars ,end number of taxis,trucks and tempos ,plus lacs of army vehicles add to the atmosphere pollution . We need to look inward, within ourselves how much of the environment we ourselves are destroying. Let's start with a self ban on all packaged water and soft drinks
