Congrats, great finish Sonar! It's always a good thing when Kyle rolls up with his camera. I'm a big fan of the Palmetto BugZ for flipping too. Do you cut the piece on the tail to separate the flappers or do you leave it intact? If so, when and why?

I saw you throw a spent bait in the canal. This water isn’t your trash bin. Every launch in Florida has one. Don’t be a bad example. For this reason I didn’t subscribe.
@SonarFishing3 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry, but if you look again you will see I threw grass that got stuck on the hook after the fish catch. I would never knowingly throw trash of any kind on the water.

@@SonarFishing I viewed closely again. Sorry, my mistake. Thanks for clarifying. Great catch. I subscribed.

65 lb braid for 3 lb fish on reel with 11 lbs drag??? Make it make sense😂 bass fisherman are too funny.
@bradleyrussell1973 Жыл бұрын
Setting the hook can easily create almost 75 lbs of shock. Even the very best reels’ drag will have some delay. The abrasion resistance benefit is alone worth getting the strongest possible. Sawgrass, Eelgrass, Cattails, Kissimee Grass all make Hydrilla seem like look like creek moss. The number one priority when flipping is get the fish out away from cover. I personally have snapped 30 lb braid setting the hook with a flipping stick. My reels don’t have maximum drag settings either, they will lock down completely.
